Works well, but software that comes with it (at least for the Mac) is awful
The hardware unit shows so much promise but the software that comes with it is atrocious (at least for the Mac) and you'll need to know C to program it.I am currently working on a much better scheduling program for Mac OS X which will be available on the App Store one of these days...

PC programmable - Ingenious - Good value
Very useful for automating control of power outlets through your PC. This version in particular is programmable through your computer, and once programmed, will continue to work without the computer. Very ingenious and good value for the money.

Great concept and design, but software has a lot of problems
I agree with some of the assessments of the PowerUSB device. It has a lot of promise for doing programmable power control via USB, but the software developer interface is very flaky and seems to have problems. The device driver for it appears to be a sample HID device driver, so it doesn't show up in the device list as a named device that can be recognized. Seems like most of the work went into the hardware, but it seems like very little attention was given to the software.Also, documentation on the programmable API needs some corrections and more information than what it provides.
