BEST INVESTMENT EVER!
I have no idea why I did not get this sooner! My dogs bad habits are basically gone. All I have to do is pick up the remote now, and he knows to stop his bratty behavior. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement. I only had to use the shock three times total (on level 3, and he is very stubborn) and I haven't had to use it since. He knows when he hears the tone, that means stop, or you will get a jolt. It has a tone button, a vibrate button, and then when all that fails, the shock button. Then I respond with praise "Good boy" when I did have to use it. Recommend to everyone! We took it to the beach and it got completely submerged in ocean water, and it still works great!

Red flash
After receiving this product and while using it on a very low setting, the first time I used the shock feature I saw a visible red flash and my dog screamed. I took it of and tried it again and saw a visible red flash. Buyer beware because most of the reviews were 5 stars but then I read all the reviews and I agree with another reviewer that pointed out that all the 5 star reviews were written within a short time frame. I could not locate this product anywhere else in any other stores. I would give it a zero if I could. It is not a safe product.!

Works well for us
Bought this back in 2017 and have been using it quite a bit here recently on my stubborn American staffordshire. It works well for us. Most of the time, she’ll stop being a shit when I pick up the remote. Every once in a while we will have to remind her of the shock function (usually set at around 6) but she reacts very well to the vibration function. We don’t use this so much for a bark deterrent, rather more so for other naughty behaviors like messing with the cats.

Worked for 3 months
After using for 3 months, the static shock function stopped working. I did the trouble-shooting in the "manual" and that didn't help. I read that if that didn't help, call Customer Service - NO phone number listed anywhere in the booklet. Another paragraph said to return the collar and transmitter for service - NO address provided anywhere in the booklet again. Very frustrated. Wasted money.

Not reliable
Works about half the time. If it doesn't work EVERY TIME, you can't train effectively. I've made sure it was fully charged but it doesn't matter. Warranty only 2 months? That's a garbage warranty. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The collar works decently, but the control loses connection intermittently (within 30 feet), and the collar battery life is awful.

Good collar, true distance, poor strap material. Static shock doesn't work after 4 months.
UPDATE: Static shock feature stopped working after 4 months. I would not buy this again. Downgraded to 2 stars.Original Review: It has been over a month and we have used this pretty steadily. It works pretty well as far as distance goes. The charging setup is fairly convenient and we go days between charging. The level of static (zap) at a 3 setting does not seem to do anything to my dog, but he now knows to return with the beep, and or the vibrate. I'm afraid that if I had to zap the collar, I would be fiddling around trying to change the setting to 4-5-6 until he is affected by it. Also, the loop that holds the extra collar strap fell off on day 1, as my dog was rolling around, probably. I had to make a make-shift loop to tuck the extra strap material in. That loop should probably be metal. Overall, it's a good device.

Great training collar
Great training collar. Good battery life and the optional modes (sound,vibrate,shock) really assist in training. Added value of being able to control two collars with one remote.
