Okay, confession. I actually was one of the people who tested this brace for the company years ago. But I have hypermobile Ehler's Danlos Syndrome and this is the ONLY knee brace I recommend whole-heartedly. The traditional sleeve types always fall down my legs. This one stays put. I prefer to use it without the under-sleeve directly on my skin (beware of rash formation after repeated rubbing) or on leggings. I tighten the bottom straps first, then the top straps.

This knee brace was recommended by my doctor and it was worth the money it holds my knee cap stable. I was told I need a knee replacement and this helps a lot

I'm a big guy. I'm 6ft tall, 270lbs. Where i'm not exactly a poster boy of physical fitness, I'm not fat. I carry most of my "extra" weight around the midsection. I have tree trunks for legs. It was difficult to find a knee brace that would fit. Most that I tried, even in the XL and XXL sizes were too small. The sizing chart for these is accurate. They made a size that fit me which is oddly the XL/XXL size. Not sure why they combined those 2 sizes, but it fit, so I'm happy. The support it provided was very good too. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because if you don't wear the "protective sleeve" it comes with (the first one I received was missing the sleeve), the webbing can rub the skin uncomfortably. Other than that, it was comfortable, (again, I like to wear it with the protective sleeve). worked well and looks cool too!
