Bends 7/8" OD copper refrigerant piping without crimping or making little ribs on the inside curve.Also comes with attachments to reverse-bend and that function works well, too.

This is a better bender than the 300 bender i also purchased... sent the more expensive back. I had purchased this one prior and sent back thinking a more expensive one would be a cleaner bend, i was wrong. This bends 7/8 pipe great however when bending the smaller 3/8 pipe it kinks the pipe no matter how i complete the task... i even dried a drylube used for brass ammunition resizing and reloading to no avail. Although it works great for the larger pipe i cannot keep this for the smaller pipe which defeats the point of one bender for all the sizes i need. Wish it worked for the smaller pipe better. I think with a roller style post rather than the square posts it would reduce friction and have the potential for a perfect bender.

It’s not for the pros but is perfect for occasional use. The secret to bending large pipe is to anneal the copper. That is to say, heat and cool the material quickly. It can work without doing that, but expect the metal to crinkle on 90s.

I’ve used more expensive benders that always wanna kink the copper. I’m honestly impressed with this one. I recommend

Bought this tool kit to bend a few 3/4 inch .035 wall aluminum pieces of tubing. Every time it tried, it kept crushing the tube along the curve radius center area. (And yes, I did use the 3/4 inch attachment and rubber blocks). No matter what I tried, the tool just kept crushing the tubing. Returned the tool kit and purchased a different style bender.
