I'm terrible at conversation, especially in the car. Constantly forcing my passengers to sit in silence as I desperately try to find interesting things to say. You can really only talk about the weather for so long before your passengers start to judge your abilities to hold a conversation. Well, when my family and I decided to take a road trip I knew i needed to up my conversation game. There's no way I can let my young children know that their father is in fact devoid of any relatable thought or idea. I knew I had to solve this problem or at least disguise my deficiency. Naturally, I went to the Internet where I knew I would find tons of supportive people who would help guide me through my conversational reformation. After painstaking research and field study, not to mention countless failed conversations and awkward silences, I stumbled upon this gem, "family talk". Origianally designed for long car rides to bring up thought provoking ideas for you to get to know your passengers, I've found that I can carry this in my back pocket and use them in day to day interactions. My ability to hold a conversation was once embarrassing and a definite personal weakness. But now, after purchasing "family talk", I can actually have a decent conversation.

Got this to share with my grandchildren during the time before food comes at the eatery. They love these and remind me to bring them when we eat out.

I think this is something every family should have at their table. My kids and I enjoy taking this out at dinner time every night and talking about what is on the cards. There are quite a few really good questions in there, but some don't quite get us "talking" like I would really like. I think some of the questions need to be more engaging so we don't have to go through so many cards in one sitting. I love that they are on a key ring and we can hang them up near the table and they never get lost. This is a great way for families to get back to being a family without having electronics in their hands. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

Love the variety in this card pack. This has been a great little conversation starter around our dinner table. I love that they are attached in a ring and easy to hang up on our keyholder and grab dinner time.

It is a fun idea to get people talking, but honestly there just are not very many questions for nearly $17. If it were sold for half that price I would give it five stars. I do like that it comes with the cards punched so you can put it on a ring, and the cards are small like a deck of cards so it is easy to keep in a purse or backpack or in the car for on the run conversation starters.

Teen Talk Grandparent Talk We love all the questions that Family talk offers. Our kids love to ask us questions from the cards and we all enjoy learning about what each other would do or how we would react. This is a great communication tool for families. I highly recommend it as well as teen talk (a great tool for teens to use with their friends), and grandparent talk. My two boys had a great time asking grandma and grandpa questions and they learned a lot about them and enjoyed the time they spent "playing" this unique game.
