Don't purchase if you have any question about size, etc..., and think you might need to return.
The boots were fine and arrived as expected. I returned them to Amazon for refund, due to fit. Amazon received them about 45 days ago and has not refunded my purchase. There is no way that I can get any information as to why.

Excellent Boot
Purchased my first pair of rm Williams 25 year ago. They’re still wearable and used. Gives you some idea of the quality. This pair a turnout rounded toe is comfortable for me right out of the box. With wear begins to mold to foot.Fit- I wear a 13 US and the aus 12G fits me perfectlyValue: they’re re an iconic boot that with care will last.. travelled to Europe with these as my one shoe- lots of walking 15,000. -20,000 steps per day. So for me comfortable

Possibly the best boots.
I should get this out of the way before hand. I like shoes. I like boots. I have lots of them. R.M. Williams had been on my radar for a while but in large part because they’re kind of pricey to be a science experiment (495 US at the time of writing for the comfort which is the least costly) I hadn’t pulled the trigger. Now that I have I regret waiting.I have never seen and certainly never owned a more versatile piece of footwear. In the two weeks since my boots arrived I have happily (and I think stylishly) worn them with jeans and a T-shirt and a suit well as everything really in between. I can’t precisely put my finger on why they work in all these settings but they really do. And unlike most items that can be used in a lot of very desperate contexts that don’t particularly work very well in any of them, these are really great with almost everything. Again I wouldn’t wear them to go for a jog to find out where are you going to put your towel on the beach but anything where proper shoes are required…I think a big part of it is they are Australian cowboy boots. The Australians have a serious cowboy culture it’s just dressed a bit differently than the American cowboy culture, and I think these do carry a little bit of a cowboy boot swagger; but because they’re from the other side of the world they don’t immediately telegraph “oh he’s wearing cowboy boots“. In the Northeast cowboy boots are a very overt statement. These exude some of that energy just in a less obvious way.I was skeptical of 500US for rubber soles but man. I don’t know what this material is. But it’s amazing. It looks like leather soles from the side. But is incredibly tough and hard wearing. 2 weeks in I can’t see any wear on the soles. They’re also surprisingly comfortable, almost sneaker comfortable right out of the box. Whole-cut out of yearling leather, which is (apparently) somewhere between the toughness of steerhide and the softness of calfskin. It’s an unusual leather and it is breaking in really nicely. All in all I highly recommend. They’ve got their own pedigree and aesthetic. But if you’re reading reviews you’re already most of the way decided. Go for it. It’s later than you think.
