Stopped diarrhea and supported digestion in my 1.5-year-old during antibiotics
My toddler was diagnosed with an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin (liquid antibiotic). Since this is my first child, I asked the pediatrician about probiotics and was told yogurt would be enough. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. On day 5 of antibiotics, my child developed severe diarrhea, and I honestly didn’t know what to do next. After some research, I decided to try these yeast-based probiotics — and I’m really glad I did. I gave 2 packets on the first day (one in the morning and one in the evening), mixing them into her milk formula. By the second day, things were noticeably better. The yeast smell might seem unusual, but it’s yeast — that’s expected. My child didn’t notice anything, drank the full bottle, and had no refusal at all. What I appreciate most is that these probiotics can be taken at the same time as antibiotics. Since they are yeast-based, antibiotics don’t destroy them, so they actually do their job supporting the gut during treatment. My advice to other parents: if your child starts antibiotics, add probiotics from day one. I wish I had done that earlier. These really helped us through a tough moment.

A Lifesaver for My Toddlers’ Tummies!
As a dad of a 3-year-old and a 15-month-old, I’m always looking for ways to keep their little tummies happy, and Florastor Kids Probiotic (20 powder sticks) has been a total game-changer! My 3-year-old is picky but loves the taste when I mix it into her morning yogurt or apple juice. My 15-month-old takes it blended into his mashed fruit, and it dissolves so easily—no fuss at all. Since starting these, I’ve noticed fewer tummy upsets for both kids, especially after my oldest had a round of antibiotics. It’s such a relief knowing it’s supporting their digestion and immunity. The sachets are super convenient for our busy days, and I love that it’s gluten-free and safe for my little ones. This is now a staple in our house—highly recommend for any parent with toddlers!

I recommend it. It has a good effect.
My daughter had allergies and gave her antihistamines along with this! It tastes fine; my 3-year-old drank it without any problems. I liked that you can dilute it not only in water, but also in milk or juice.

This product was recommended by my son pediatrician
Dissolves good, taste is not so great, amazon was the only place I could find it in the kids version. My son is taking it while he is on antibiotics to protect the digestive system.

Simple, Science-Backed Probiotic for Little Ones
My youngest child has had multiple ear infections in his first year and a half of life, which unfortunately meant several rounds of antibiotics. One of the physicians who treated an early infection recommended this specific probiotic, and after looking into it myself, I felt comfortable using it. I’m a registered dietitian, so I tend to be very selective about supplements, especially when it comes to my children. The strain selection and supporting research behind this probiotic met my standards, which gave me confidence adding it during antibiotic use and for a period afterward to be as gentle on his gut as possible. Administration has been easy. I mix the recommended amount directly into his bottle of milk, and he drinks it without any issue. I’ve also given it to my other children during illnesses, and they never noticed it was added. Overall, this has been a simple and reassuring way to support gut health during and after antibiotic use, and it’s something I try to keep on hand now. Pros: • Physician-recommended • Scientifically sound strain selection • Easy to administer (no taste issues) • Well tolerated by infants and children Cons: • Requires consistent use during and after antibiotics • Higher price point than some other probiotics

Gentle probiotic that helped during gut recovery
We used Florastor Kids Dual Action Probiotic during our child’s recovery from a significant gastrointestinal illness, and it worked well for us. What stood out is that it was gentle on the stomach and easy to give. We didn’t notice any worsening gas or discomfort after starting it, which was important given how sensitive things already were. What other parents should know: • Powder mixes easily into food or drink • No strong taste (no battles at dosing time) • Designed to be stable and not destroyed easily in the gut • Felt supportive during a period of gut healing and normalization We can’t speak to long-term use yet, but during recovery this felt like a solid, well-tolerated option and we’d purchase it again if needed.
