These changed my running shoes from painful to perfect.
I bought these to hopefully fix the problems I was having with my new running shoes, which were putting pressure on my feet in places that caused pain in my feet and legs. I had tried a different type of Dr. Scholl's inserts which had little bumps and a very different texture that caused a different kind of pain. These insoles are much thinner than any I've used before, yet they solved all my problems. They have just the right amount of cushioning, and don't take up too much space in my shoes. It was tricky figuring out how to separate the two insoles which seemed to be fused together, and the instructions could have been much clearer. However, I did manage to peel them apart. Important note: If you are using these in running shoes with removable inner soles of their own, If you cut the new insole along the lines marked for your shoe size, it may end up not working in your running shoes. I found it works best to pull the original insole out of the shoe and lay the Dr. Scholl's insole on top of the shoe's insole and trace the shape of the shoe's insole onto the marked side of the Dr. Scholl's and cut along the lines you've marked. This will allow the Dr. Scholl's to cover the original insole fully, and you then put both back into the shoe, with the Dr. Scholl's on top.

Good light cushion
These are pretty decent. They are on the thinner side but offer noticeable cushion. I used these in a pair of boots that needed a little extra, especially since I was going to be walking a lot. I tried following the lines to cut down to my shoe size but they didn't fit in the boys so I just used my foot as the template without weight on it, that worked well. I got these when they were really on sale so I definitely think they were worth it.

Use as a build up for arch support
I use these to build up an arch support and can easily cut out the support and double side tape under the shoe’s removable insert.

UPDATED REVIEW - Figured out how to make these work for me with Neuropathy issues
Rewriting this since figuring some stuff out--including how to make these work. Let me preface this is an insight I didn't share before and why this has been such an arduous journey. I have peripheral neuropathy and neuromae on my feet. I'm also disabled and unable to reach my feet. As such, I wear a slip-on sneaker with no socks. So, my bear feet are in contact with any insoles. Thus the need for something thick and cushioned to cut down on the pressure and pain. This product is insufficient if used as directed. It's too thin and provides nothing more than a lining between my feet and the shoe. But, I know what to do now to resolve that! First time I bought them, I loved the thickness and softness, but was shocked to find only one pad in a package. I was unaware at the time that there were indeed two in there, and that you had to pull them apart. Second order--using the "Reorder" feature in Amazon, resulted in receiving a different model/style of these. Still as thin and the soft cover replaced by something with the logo imprinted all over it; the texture of which was not comfortable at all. Third time, used the Reorder, but this time verified that I was getting the ones I wanted--"Ultra Soft Cushion" as it read on the package. I did, they came, and sadly were as thin as the previous order. I wrote a review at that time noting that there must have been a design change in the product given how thin they were compared to the first time I ordered them. (Yes, I know, I missed the step where you had to pull them apart.) But now, I've figured out how to get what I want/need. I'm doubling up on them! I loved the thickness and comfort I got when I didn't pull them apart. So, I'm going to order twice as many and use one package for each foot. They're inexpensive enough that this won't cost me a lot to do so--and no where near the price of other products that still don't provide the comfort I need. Warning for those who wear tight/snug shoes. You will not like this idea of the double thickness as it does make the shoes fit tighter. But if you're someone who wears shoes nice and spacey, you'll enjoy this idea.

Perfect for filling in roomy boots
I have a pair of leather boots for work that had stretched and worn out after years of working in really harsh conditions. These filled out that extra space in the boots and got me through until I could get into some new boots.

Immediately bought 5 more pairs
I have a pair of shoes that are super cute, but hurt after 5-ish hours. I'd bought insoles, but they were just too thick, so I figured for three bucks, I'd try these. First, there are TWO insoles - it does look like one, but they're just smooshed together. If you look and vend around the toe area, you'll be able to easily separate them. Don't be afraid of ripping them or something, they are meant to separate! I added a photo to show this. The sizing runs larger than what is said in the description - I added a photo of the sizing guide (included in the pack) to show sizes. I figured I'd use my actual shoe to measure, instead of the standard sizing guide, to ensure a great fit. The shoes I used were labeled women's 10.5, though they fit more like a 10 - you can see in the pic how much extra room there is on the insert itself. All I did was lay the shoe on top of the inserts (both still joined together) and trace around it with a pen. The toe is upturned a bit as shoes often are, so when I got to that section I just pressed down on the toe (lifting the heel off the "page") to get a good trace. Then I cut it out (both inserts at once) with regular scissors, cutting just inside my trace line to account for the width of the shoe. I inserted the double-insert that I had just cut, to double-check the fit and see whether I needed to trim anymore. The fit was great and it felt great! I had enough room in my shoe that the double layer of both inserts felt really nice. If I'd already had a second set of inserts, I probably would have used two inserts in each shoe (for this price, it's still less than any other bargain priced insoles). But I decided to split them so I could wear the shoes right away, so I just peeled them apart. I immediately ordered 5 more pairs of inserts! They're thin enough that they'll go in any shoe, and they're so easy to trim since they're thin. They just give a little extra padding and cushion. If a shoe needs a but more, it's easy to use one pair (joined together) in a single shoe - since they come so well-joined that people mistakenly think it's just one insert, there's no real risk of them coming apart and flopping around in the shoe. Glad I tried these!

Work
Work fine, once you get them cut to size. That part is kind of a pain. They provide a template, but the insole is very narrow, and cutting it is not east. Delivery was prompt, though not two-day, packaging was fine.
