Cuisinart CPT-440CH Touch to Toast Leverless 4-Slice Toaster, Polished Chrome

The old toaster crapped out after 7 years of service, so I was looking for a replacement. This one offered two features that made the decision easier:1) I don't have to waste my precious energy and burn calories by pressing down on a toaster lever; it does it for me!2) This Chrome version of this thing is so shiny and reflective that I can enjoy seeing my mug every time I make a toast!This thing is a winner! You can save energy by avoiding unnecessary work, eat toast, and watch your face expand horizontally all thanks to this toaster.On a more serious note, it makes a good toast, the various toast level settings are helpful, and it's quiet operation without the sudden "pop", that led to Vincent Vega's demise in Pulp Fiction, is a plus as well.

Honestly, the are no perfect toasters. And this is not one either, but there are several features of this toaster that mimic perfection. One, it is gorgeous! Two, it is very simple to operate. Three, it makes better toasts than any previous toasters that I have owned. Shortcomings. The slots are wide enough but not long enough for many standard bread sizes. For instance, Pepperidge Farm rye bread is an inch or two too long to go down in the toaster. Most sour dough type breads will not go down fully in the toaster, but there is an easy remedy--flip it if you want to have a good toast half way though the cycle. It does toast bagels nearly perfectly on the bagel cycle. Yeah! It does a great toasting job on Kellogg's Eggo waffles. Set on +5 setting and it comes out nice and golden brown on both sides. Regular toast is often perfect on one side but not the other. Oh well, it is weel to know we can make smart phones but not smart toasters. Finally, the auto down and up and signal when toast is ready is very nice. Four stars is pretty good when it comes to a toaster.

Worked however arrived damages, cheap packing material. Didn't want to take a chance of replacing with another cheaply packaged unit so I just returned it and purchased another model.

Does this look polished chrome!!!!!!!!!, I got this toaster which is like 50 bucks, I payed 200 for the polished chrome best believe they took the money, this seller should/will be sued/ definitely exploited, to a very necessary way..

The toaster is very nice quality and as described. It is working spot on, sometimes you might adjust the toasting setting between 3 and 4 depending on the thickness of the bread or item you are toasting. Our experience so far is it toasts nice and brown and just right on both sides. I think other reviewers comments about the chime alert being too loud are just not accurate and nit picky. It chimes twice and the sound level is just right. I was consiering a Breville 4 slot toaster however there were several comments about a lack of even browning/toasting on both sides. This unit was approx. $50 less theirs. I would recommend this product.

This is such a nice toaster. I've had a toaster oven for nearly 20 years and everything took so long to brown. When I received this, it was nice to have more counter space and toast in about a minute! It's nice to have the sides come in to hold the bread evenly in the slots, and even nicer to have the defrost setting since I keep my bread in the fridge or freezer. This way when it raises, it's done and not just warm. Easy to use and controls are simple and it even looks great in the kitchen.

This was a big improvement over my previous toaster. It toasts evenly on both sides. I have only had it a week so I can't say the coils on one side won't fail like happened with old toaster. Only criticism I have is that I wish the toast slices were longer so they could easily accommodate bakery loaves that tend to be a little bigger.

Love this toaster!!! I will be buying another for a gift. I can't say enough positive about it. Most important the toasting is very even. Now for the bells and whistles....the read out is clear and accurate. There are digital count down bars to let you know when the toast is almost done. The digital setting is very easy to set. The touch on the buttons is very nice. It's also very nice to be able to cook for slices at once...even for just my husband and myself.
