McGraw Hill Science: Grade 1 Hardcover – Student Edition, January 1, 2005

I love this series for homeschooling my children. I started using these with my older daughter and now I've gone back and bought the lower levels for my younger daughter to start. The words are nice and big for your young one to read and the projects are simple but fun. I usually go to the McGraw Hill site to buy the workbooks to go with the hardcovers and it makes all the difference. The greatest thing about it is that you can just keep following the series through the different grades and your child doesn't need to get used to a different format every year.Definitely recommend this and other McGraw Hill school books.

lots of color photes. It is an easy reading however it is a hard low level reading material, not nessarlly 1st grade level. It has nice easy projects and questins thought out. I will definatly get the grade two book! It has lots of inforamtion, and vocabulary. includes chapter review at he end of each chapter and sigusted reading. The siguested reading books are not available as a set, and some are out of print :'( there is a glossory for the bold print vocabulary. I love the book so does my little girl.

I use this for homeschooling. It is a bit more in depth than the other 2 homeschool science curricula that I have purchased which is great-my kids love science. We are about half way through and so far haven't had a problem doing the "experiments."

We love this science book. The only reason I gave it a "4" rating, was because it seemed to be a little "too basic" for my daughter and her friend who were being taught with this. Overall, I would recommend as it has end of the chapter review, online associated questions that go with each chapter on the book manufacturer's website. It is very colorful and engaging and my daughter wanted to do multiple chapters each day which is always good :)

I'm a sucker for science and this book is very well written for my home schooler to understand and it makes it fun.

I use this book with my homeschool children ages 6-8. It works very well for all three of them, I like the vocabulary and the pictures. There are several simple activities that help reinforce the lessons and there are many books in this series so we can easily continue on in the same format.

Amazing. Can not wait for the school year to start. The books were in amazing shape.
