I'm a 3-season hiker, so I haven't tried this out for any distance (still well below freezing here) but if you're looking for a camera pack that- stays out of your way when rollerblading / bicycling / rock scrambling- puts weight onto your hips, like a 'real' hiking pack- can carry a lot of camera gear plus a jammed-full daypack's worth of other stuff- want to be able to grab your camera without dropping your pack to the ground...and you have a longer-than-average torso, consider this pack. I have a 22" torso, and it fits me beautifully.If your torso is 18" or less, I'd look at something else (and congratulations! You're in the 'average' range and can pick and choose)Very nicely made; looks like it'll stand up to hard usage.

Great photo backpacks, side access, good camera protection and organization, extra room for a day trip with camera gear.
