I don't have a huge amount of experience using abrasive body scrubs but this produced really pleasant skin that felt revitalised & alive afterwards. The Nature Spell African Black Soap & Hyaluronic Acid Body Scrub comes in a 300 ml plastic tub with a screw on/off lid that is recyclable. Appearance wise the contents look a bit like you've been cleaning out the garden pond but is has a pleasant, fresh clean smell. Texture wise it reminds me of the hair gel that we went through vast tubs of in the 1980's. It's two main ingredients are African Black Soap & Hyaluronic acid. African Black soap originates in West Africa & is made from the ashes of various plants found there. Its said to be good at treating oily skin; drying it out & helping against acne & pimples. It also has antimicrobial properties against skin microbiota such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. The Hyaluronic acid [(C¹⁴H²¹NO¹¹)ⁿ]also known as hyaluronan, is a clear, gooey substance that is naturally produced by your body. The largest amounts of it are found in your skin, connective tissue and eyes. Its main function is to retain water to keep your tissues well lubricated and moist. It's best used in conjunction with a moisturises afterwards to help lock it to the surface of your skin. The exfoliating agent is crushed seeds shells from rosehips. All ingredients are Cruelty-Free, Not Tested On Animals, Suitable For Vegans, Sulphate Free, Alcohol Free & Paraben Free. It should always be applied to wet skin & rubbed in in a circular motion. I could certainly feel the rosehip shells working on the skin while doing this but they weren't painful, just invigorating. It rinses off easily & I was left with nice tingly & bright looking skin. Great if you've been suffering from dry skin due to cold weather & central heating. A little seems to go a long way, I've been using this a couple of times a week for a month now & not made a huge dent in the contents yet. So it seems good value for the £7.00 price tag. Would buy again though I fancy giving the Vitamin C & Pineapple Body Scrub a go next.

The style is very nice comes well packaged in a nice box. The scent isn’t overly too strong or over powering so far very impressed

I used this scrub a few times but I found it to be too slimy also when I used it it just gathered all under my back when I was in the bath and cut me

I often find scrubs too harsh for my sensitive dry skin, but the soupy consistency of this is much gentler on my skin compared to sandy scrubs. It's not oily or sticky though, and rinses off easily. I apply a layer on my skin and then exfoliate using a silicone body brush. It leaves my skin feeling supple, nourished, and free of ingrown hairs. My arms and legs, especially super dry areas, felt notably smoother after just a few uses. African black soap is great for fighting acne, and the consistency of the scrub is smooth enough to be used a few times weekly on the face. It's very powerful though, so I'd recommend rubbing it in gently using your fingers instead of a facial brush the first few times you use it. The hyaluronic acid dilutes the effects of the black soap so it doesn't overwhelm the skin, but the combination of ingredients is still quite strong. Great for deep cleansing and adding to an acne skincare routine. It also has a fresh earthy smell to it that I really like. One of my favourite scrubs so far. Would happily recommend. Its quite impressive to see the way this blacksoap is being modernised. Back in Africa I know it use to be very solidified but this one is liquefied which is still okay. The main thing is that it does the job and you can feel the impact after using this.
