So far, so good
I was hesitant at first because I had never purchased a fabric grow bag before. After a thorough research, I decided to go for these since reviews commented on its quality, especially for the price. Mine was the 7 gallons pack. So far, it seems to be working great with my tomatoes, peppers and pineapples. I like the fact that it comes with handles which makes it easy to move around. The stitching stands out and looks very solid. I have already gotten lots of positive compliments by other individuals for its aesthetics. After finding a good spot, I ended up adding 2 bricks underneath it for the following reasons: 1) to allow further oxygen filtration on the bottom and to have oxygen coming in from all sides 2) avoid having water retention at bottom for prolonged periods so as to not to promote any mold buildup 3) allow better water drainage so as to avoid any moist sitting at the bottom and 4) to avoid bottom contact with surface to prolong the product's lifetime. Now, I have to wait and see if what lots of people are raving about is true when it comes to root development inside fabric grow bags. I will give an update in the near future most definitely since I am sure lots of people will be interested in finding this out. What's interesting so far is that now that the soil sits in a fabric environment, the water seems to evaporate faster. So definitely take that into account before you purchase. So far, I am looking forward to getting some more fabric pots from this company in the near future. They are affordable, lightweight and are made of good quality.

Excellent design and quality,many sizes
obsessed with grow bags, or fabric plant pots - whatever you want to call them. I've purchased a fairly ridiculous amount of them over the past year. After trying several brands (all of them were great, I don't have anything bad to say about any of them really) I'd have to say this is my favorite brand. The quality is great and the price is too good to pass on. I've purchased multiple sizes, and multiple packs of several sizes. The fabric is plenty thick and I like that the handles don't stand up and get in the way. Some pots have taller handles that stand up higher than the top edge of the bag. They're great for carrying the bag but also tend to fall in on the plant. It's really a matter of personal preference.Keep in mind, the "gallon" measurement of plant pots isn't an actual gallon. I've seen many reviewers on different bags complain about this issue. I used to try to understand it but gave up, figured it's not worth trying to understand especially since there doesn't seem to be a "standard" on dimensions (for example, I have 50 3-gallon plastic nursery pots and there are at least 10 different sizes in the mix). Measuring solids (soil for example) in gallons is subjective anyway so don't let yourself get hung up on that word. If you filled one gallon pot with sand and one with mulch-like soil amendment, you'd fit more cubic feet of sand in the sand pot than you would soil amendment in its pot. It's not as straight forward as a gallon of liquid. A gallon of water and gallon of milk will both be the same size and same volume.Edit: I've also purchased the 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 gallon bags from this seller. After reading so many reviews about the volume not matching the bag size I decided to do an experiment measuring my soil mixture into 5 gallon buckets before dumping it into the grow bags. The 10 gallon grow bag held 2 full 5 gallon "Homer" buckets of soil mixture with room for plants and topped with mulch.Edit #2: These are fantastic when you get an average to above average amount of rainfall. If you end up with a summer that's above average for heat and DRY (no rain for weeks), these are NOT good at all. It's impossible to keep them saturated enough for plants to do well. Even watering multiple times a day, the plants dried out and died. The bags also dry rotted and ripped apart when I tried to move them. The only plants that did well were the ones that I was able to fit into old kiddy pools, plastic saucers or dish pans. Something that I could fill with water and let the plants soak up water. I'm most disappointed by the dry rot though. I expected to be able to use the bags for more than one season. Oh well. Live and learn.

Great for growing veggies on a patio!
I live in a mid-rise apartment building but my 8-year old niece and I wanted try growing some veggies this summer on our patio. I originally bought 4-ft square above-ground planters but decided that was way too much dirt...getting it up there would be a pain but having to dispose of it someday would be monumentally worse. I didn't really want to buy a bunch of plastic planters so I was browsing Amazon looking for options that were deep enough to grow carrots, beets and radishes and came across the whole grow-in-a-bag concept and settled on these. The 7-gallon size seemed big enough but not too big to move around and they had handles that were securely attached per the reviews.I ordered two 5-packs of the 7-gallon bags. When I opened the box, I was afraid there had been a shipping mistake. There were two packages but they were so small it seemed like they could only hold one bag each. I was wrong...five were vacuumed packed into each package. Efficient.I bought soil at a local home improvement store and it must have been 12-13 gallon bags because each one filled two of the grow bags. They are pretty floppy when not filled so I rapidly gave up on trying to shovel it in. I sliced the end of the dirt bag open then stretched the grow bag over that end. It filled it as I lifted the soil bag out. Much faster.I'd ordered a variety of vegetables in dwarf/miniature/planter varieties from Burpee. We planted them without much expectation...obviously the pots were much more densely seeded than recommended but it was an experiment so who cares. So far everything has sprouted and we've been thinning them out as needed. The bags are easy to work with and we put a different vegetable in each one so it's easy to keep track of them. They are small enough to move around with the handles (even my niece can do it, barely). My only minor complaint has more to due to the terrible watering can that I have...if you water too much all at once, the water will leak out of the top section of the bag rather than staying contained and sinking down to the bottom. It's better to water less at once and do each bag a couple of times to let the water sink in deeper.Overall I'm very happy with these grow bags and we look forward to working with the veggies throughout the summer. My niece has basically lived in a 6th floor apartment her whole life so this is a fun and easy way to bring the garden to the city. Already the radishes and their growth rate is a huge source of fascination (to both of us).Someday when it comes time to dispose of them, I can probably fit them down the garbage chute. Of course I'm a model tenant and would never do that (I would put them in a plastic bag first so the dirt doesn't spill out). (And just do a couple at a time so as not to clog it up.) Lol.
