This is a great option which gives the choice to not have to use deadly force and still protect themselves or someone else.
I can't speak from the firing aspect of the weapon as I have not used it and hope not to have to. But I trust that it will work if I ever need to use it. I have pepper sprayed myself in the past when I was younger my friend and I tested it on myself and pepper spray is very effective in stopping someone. You can't really fight someone who you can't see not to mention it is extremely painful. I know Kimber makes excellent products and this is no exception. I'm using the holster for the pocket not inside the waistband, and it's much thinner than a handgun and smaller than say a Kel-Tec PF9(and obviously much lighter). It weighs 118.58 grams or 4.18oz (0.261lbs). So it's very light and easily concealed. The only thing I really would change or ask to be slightly larger is the grip, as it is very compact. However it's still very usable and the safety is easily activated, drawing is quick with the holster I'm using, and the sites are quite good actually. I can say they are very visible and easily on target quickly infact fact much faster than that of a small handgun due to the weight of the weapon. Anyone, even people with wrist problems should have no problem drawing and aiming the pepperblaster. I will carry this even with my handgun. From experience I know, sometimes deadly force may be required, and even though my under state laws I could use it legally, I would rather not have to unless I have no other choice. I have in the past had to pull a firearm during during an attempted rape but luckily I did not have to fire it (although it was close and I would have if the police had not arrived that second). In that situation the woman was not harmed and the assailant was arrested as he ran when the police arrived. In each situation that has violent crime in-progress you have very little time to decide about how much force is necessary, how in danger are you with your choice of weapon; and in some situations where it's difficult to decide this I would rather not take away someone's son or father if I can avoid doing so. So I hope to never have to use this, but if a situation again occurs where myself or someone else is in danger maybe I can avoid having to use lethal force or cause serious injury even if the person might deserve it. It's hard to judge these things in the moment as someone may well live for die depending on your choice and it's hard to always judge what to do, say a guy beating his significant other cuz he's drunk. Does he deserve to be paralyzed or dead; what about his family do they deserve that? So to me taking away someone's son or father over something stupid they did intoxicated. I would always rather have an option to use less than lethal force if I'm able. The victim comes first in my mind, so sometimes there is no choice (my view). People don't realize with that firearms it is not just live or die: It's survive with years of rehabilitation and chronic pain, its parallyzed, loss of limb, permanent neurological damage-coma OR death (not to mention what is behind the target if the round passes through or a miss). So maybe this weapon will prevent a family from having to go through the horrible outcomes of a gunshot while saving someone from being a victim. I will still carry my deadly weapons, but I will also carry this because maybe I can prevent violence to someone or myself but not completely destroy a human/family's life or lose my own.

Round two
This is my second Pepperblaster. The other one expired. This is probably the best non-lethal protection that you can buy. There are some confusing videos on You Tube. Some of them are old and they have changed the formulation since then. This should take them out for enough time to make you escape. I bought this one for me and a red one for a lady friend was being followed. It has given her a lot of confidence. It took me a few minutes to show her how to aim it and show her the wisdom of the two separate shots. The mechanics are similar to holding a "you know what". If there was something out there that was better, I would have it. If you are not in a state where they have a liberal CCW law, this is about as good as it gets.

did the deed
these have been great, the only time my family has had to pull the trigger on one, it ended a dog attack instantly, no concern of blowback (in the hands of the last practiced person, to boot… a fast dog isnt an easy target)the pyrotechnic discharge was visible on security footage, but i didnt realize the sound was the pepper blaster

Compact and sturdy
I had considered getting one of these for years. After finally ordering, I couldn't be more pleased. It is compact, and comfortable to hold. It conceals easily in my front pocket. I found it to be more weighty and sturdy feeling than i expected. If you are considering getting one, check out some youtube demos.

Better than most options
Pros:-light weight-Long shelf life-Compact-Tested my first one (wicked blast) big radius shot on a windy day...still shot straight...no blow back-Trigger pull was smooth and crisp-Discharge was relatively quiet (maby good or bad!?!)-Fits uncle mikes holster...and Carey's exceptionally wellCons:-limited range 13' feet, when compared to other makes means attacker has to get close..-Unit is disposable... Dosent sit right with me... Ending up in a landfill or ocean... IDK kimber should put screw sets in it for disassembly...send it in and get her reloaded... Send the police report with gun and a short story...they send you a loaded gun...-Plastic quality could be better.. Two of the three I ordered were dropped once and suffered a hairline fracture of the composite shell both in the same regions...All in all... A great self-defense tool... But I'm hoping they come out with a gen 2... With-high quality plastic (traditional)-reloadable and affordable ammo-built in laser or light

Apart of my everyday carry for 4 years.
I carried this both on person and off body (mostly on person) every day for 4 years from ages 16-20 wanting to carry and learn to carry since I couldn't own a firearm and after choosing to trade it out for a new one after those 4 years I chose to shoot it and it still worked fantastic! Incredibly reliable and durable product, I couldn’t recommend more. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Excellent non lethal choice !!
I've had years of firearms and self defense training. The fact is not everyone can pull a trigger even at the cost of their own life. I've also been around some people whom don't have the mental capabilities to ever own, carry or use a firearm for sport or defense. Some people (men & women) are not comfortable with firearms and that's OK ! It doesn't mean they're less in anyway. Some people are more of a threat to themselves and those around them. On that note so are drunk and distracted drivers. Not to get off subject. This is an amazing alternative for yourself or a loved one that takes out most of the problems with pepper spray. And gives you a legal (in most places) safe option to carry anyplace in any weather. And if needed a nice profile that will be intimidating enough when pulled but having sights to help you land a face covering splat of pain . Buying you the time you need to get away and get help !!!I've bout at least 6 of these as gifts for friends and family . It's a great product made by a very reputable Firearms manufacturer .
