I use a blasthood on a constant basis and this one is comfortable for me
The canvas is heavy duty... reminds me of heavy duty welding jacket; this hood will last a long time. I use a blasthood on a constant basis and this one is comfortable for me. Good broad view, with elastic at the neck to keep fine dust out. It can be hot inside on a hot day... but then again, most all hoods are under hard work conditions; you might benefit by pushing the proper filtered air though the nozzle mount on the back. I rate it a big thumbs up !.

Four Stars
WORKS GREAT BUT LIKE ALL HODS IT HOT

Only for heavy sandblasting and need to hook up a vent line.
No verse did I read you have to run a vent line . The next has elastic so it tightens up on your neck and fogs up the mask. So if you put a air vent line on opening that is made into the hood now you can. Only walk as far as the vent line. Otherwise hood and glass are of good quality but unuseable with out vent line. If elastic wasn't around neck it would work better for light to medium sandblasting.

Turned into a HEPA portable hood - perfect
I added the expensive but versatile Wynd "Personal Mini Air Purifier" Hepa filter fan and 2.5 "Ultra-Flex Clear Vue PVC" hose plus a few pvc plumb parts, some duct tape, and hose clamps and now I have a filtered dust/virus hood for woodworking, sandblasting, and shopping during Covid19. Best part is, unlike trend airshield pro, filters are only $6 each and I can add a usb battery pack for extended fan life (Wynd is recharged from USB port). Wynd fits perfectly in a 3" PVC DWV connector like it was designed for it. I did have to enlarge the hole on the sandblasting hood which comes with 1/2 hose connector but was easy to cut hole for 2.5" flex hose. BTW the added fan also keeps the glass fog free on the hood which has been a complaint for this product. I did read that HEPA filters can't block VOCs and also not the smell of dog food (I put the Wynd fan source into the dog food bin and could still smell it). So I'm also guessing this is of limited use to improve air quality at a chili cookoff. Respond and I'll upload pics.

Cease all breathing to use it - and save a hand to hold it in place
There's a reason they build a (poor) air connection into this thing - because the only way you can use it without fogging the viewport BADLY is to be dead, and hence not breathing. Or, I suppose, if you're very good at holding your breath and have a very quick job to do. And if you get past that challenge, the second one will be to blast with one hand because the other will be kept very busy keeping the hood oriented on your head. If there's a plus here at all, they have built in of good materials, so if you want to try rectifying its weaknesses, there is at least a decent starting point.

Replacement Lens is hard to find.
Has a glass lens (not plastic) which is good, but I accidently broke the lens. Amazon has the correct lens on their website but it states it is unavailable and don't know if it will ever be available. I searched on Google and found one place to buy it (goodpriceappliance.com). It costs $23.90 with free shipping.Con: The heavy canvas hood is very hot and not easy to breath while in use. The strong elastic band at neck is very tight (and no adjustment) and is hard to get on and off your head. Lens tend to fog-up.Pro: It provides ample protection and has large view lens.

excellent visibility
I've used this hood blasting 200# of coal slag abrasive through a pressure blaster. This is a fairly comfortable hood with great visibility. It has a strong elastic band around the neck but because I wear a face mask respirator, it was tough to fit the hood over. I narrowed the elastic band and it worked great. The only other downside is the fabric is course so it collects dust and grit. I'd recommend it.

Great value for a sandblast hood with air supply
This is a much better sandblasting hood than the one I have been using because it keeps the sand from getting into the hood. Also, for the price this is an excellent hood that also provides an air supply hookup for more comfortable sandblasting. After some extended use, the air inlet valve caused a little discomfort from setting on and rubbing the back of my head. I resolved this by tying a bandanna over my head. I still give it 5 stars even though a little more cushioning at that location would help and or adding a beanie type head covering in place of the miracle cloth.
