Housing waterproof and filter bette suited to deeper dives
The housing was waterproof and I didn't have any issues with water. I used this on my GoPro Hero 2018 (same housing as the 5 & 6). I mostly used it to prevent my (waterproof) GoPro 2018 from being exposed to salt water. The red filter is probably better suited for diving deeper. I used it for shallow reef snorkeling. I was able to color correct and it did give the image a crisp view. I would only recommend this for deeper diving. I used it in Hawaii where the water is clear and the overhead light was great. The red filter snaps on. You have to snap it on very securely. The screw that is used to mount started rusting after 1 week. I did rinse with fresh water after every use. I would also be careful about opening this up when it is wet and then closing again. It will fog and has to be 100% dry on the inside to avoid this fogging. All in all, a great value.

Shape of case makes it incompatible with filters
I purchased this housing to use for scuba diving, only to learn that the housing isn't compatible with any red filters. The shape of the housing around the lens is not the same as the GoPro super suit housing, which means that all of the red filters sold on Amazon won't be able to fit on this case. The red filter is essential for scuba diving in order to replace the colors that are lost when you go down.The seller should include a red filter with this housing that fits this housing, or offer one for sale. Although the case seems to be made well, if it can't fit a red filter, it's useless for scuba diving.

The cover obscures the red light on the front so in dark settings it is hard to see that the GoPro is turned on.

It fits the GoPro Hero 7 Black. I also did a quick water test by dropping it in a pitcher of water for a few minutes. No water leaks after removing it from the pitcher and opening the housing.

Could have been perfect housing.
Hope it came along with both RED and MAGENTA filters. Could have been perfect housing..Went down 32 meters with it and it holds well.... nice quality...add RED and MAGENTA filter! and SEND me filters! LOL
