Good image and sound; HDR good; auto-switching bad
This is a good, basic HDMI switcher. I tested it using a PS5 running HDR/1080p/60FPS, PS4 HDR, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox 360. It works well when the video is selected properly. So the negative is that the auto-switching does not quite work. When you turn on one machine which is connected to an input, it does select that input. I did this, was happily playing the PS5, when it would auto-switch away and then come back, causing a flickering effect. None of my other devices were on. I turned off auto-switch, and manually selected the input, and then it was fine.So I use the switch for all my gaming devices. My TV also has several inputs, and this switch is plugged into one of those, and my Roku is plugged directly into one of the TV inputs. So when I had turned off all my gaming devices (all connected to this switch), and then flipped the TV to my Roku input, my TV would keep switching back to the switch input, even though there were no devices on that were connected to it. I had to turn off this switch to stop it from doing this. Again, perhaps something to do with one of the inputs on the switch thinking something's attached, and sending a signal to the TV, which is making the TV switch to this input. The unit is physically built very well, is a solid metal enclosure. There are buttons for the functions on the front, so you are not dependent on the remote. Remote works fine, and it has dedicated buttons for the inputs, which is nice.Overall, it's good, but I just wish it could auto-switch and stay on the steady input correctly.

Works on new generation gaming systems PS5 and Xbox Series X/S but...
I purchased this switch because i have 4 year old Samsung TV that has (1) HDMI port that outputs 4K @ 60Hz images. I have 2 gaming systems: PS5 and Xbox Series X. Before this switch i was unplugging HDMI cord from one and plugging it into another.Well, this switch is saving me all the trouble now.Let me get one thing out of the way. This switch is not for people with newer HDMI 2.1 ports. The max output is 4k @ 60Hz not 120Hz. If you are looking to take advantage of the new technology - this switch is NOT for you.Quality.Unit has metal body with inputs in the back and indicator lights on the front. It seems sturdy enough that if it fall off from my entertainment center i don't have to worry about picking up pieces. Remote control is another story. It looks and feels flimsy. I have Yamaha sound bar that has very similar remote control. I had to replace that remote twice already due to the fact that clips that hold case together brake very easily. May be this one will not have similar issues.Features.Unit does what it suppose to do: switches input from XBox to PS5 and vise versa. It supports HDR / HDR10 for whose who like to change default HDR settings in games. It also has a digital clock on a front. I did not mess around with clock setup yet. It might be a nice feature for some. In my case i have wall clock or just check my phone.I had a bit of trouble figuring out auto-switching. When i would turn PS5 "ON" first and then turn XBox "ON" second, PS5 automatically goes into rest mode after switching to Xbox. To avoid it - i had to disable "HDMI Device Link" in PS5 settings. So now i have to manually change from "Input 1" to "Input 2" using remote if both systems are on. Actually i like it better but i see some reviewers find auto switching not working correctly as a deterrent from this unit.Overall, i give it 5 Stars. Flimsy remote, Funky auto switching was not enough to reduce my rating and take away stars. So for those of you who are wondering if this switch works with new generation of consoles - the answer is YES, but only 4k 60Hz.I highly recommend this unit and hope this review helps to make an educated purchase decision.

Fast response but 60Hz is slower than my tv’s refresh rate at 120Hz
Pro: Fast remote responseCon: lower refresh rate than my tv’s refresh rate of 120Hz. It jumps from ch1 to ch3 even if the device on ch2 is on when you turn off ch1, if the auto channel switch is on. Time is on 24h not 12h format.
