Shame about the screws
Perfectly nice, solid brass, simple, elegant escutcheons. Shame about the supplied screws - one had a head which was already partly rounded off and un-usable. Another had the head shear off the screw (I did drill pilot holes of an appropriate size). This caused a lot of work to extract the broken screw. The material looked cheap and brittle, so I'd suggest using your own screws of known quality if you have some the right size.

Good quality
Very good for my Victorian door. Had make hole little bigger but with diamond knife sharpener not big job at all.

Had to bend them out of shape to get them to swing open
Both of these were too stiff to open so I had to bend them out of shape to use them. The screws that come with them have been totally ruined on installation with both an electric screwdriver and a hand screwdriver. I would not recommend these at all.

Will not screw in
Cannot use screws, as steel lock casement is within 5 to 10mm underneath.Have had to use epoxy resin to fix insteadFixing needs re design!

Perfect replacements
Bought to replace previous clunky & broken escutcheons, these are not only smarter but also match the rest of the door furniture. One of them did not quite align with the existing screw holes, but that was easily superglued into position. The other one's cover was too stiff, a problem sorted by that great universal panacea, WD40.Very pleased.
