This product was developed especially for mounting black-and-white and color photos quickly, easily and permanently. It is also excellent for mounting art prints, maps, illustrations, etc.

Like many spray glues it can get a bubble of glue that forms over the opening and you begin to get larger globs of spray rather than a fine mist. If you are lucky, when you try to clear it you get it off without sealing the hole shut. It's better than some brands. Best practice is to invert the can at the end of each session is to clear any glue that has stuck around the opening then invert and spray until only air comes out. Only spray just a bit of air so you don't use up all the propellent before you use up all the glue.

Excellent adhesive
I purchased this to mount a couple of 20x30 prints to mat board. Each of them were different materials with one of them a paper based mat and the other a foam board with a smooth hard surface. I followed the instructions with mounting the 1st one to the paper based mat after 1 minute and I really couldn't rearrange it without concern over damaging the photo. Luckily the placement was close enough. Mounting to the foam board didn't present replacement issues like the 1st one and was able to lift and rearrange the placement. Moral of the story is I found it's best to start placement of the photo immediately after spraying the surface and try to get it right 1st. The adhesive seems very strong and overall works great.

Works very well, but
Especially if you are sensitive to scents or chemicals, make sure to use this in a well vented area or outside. Especially with a mask if you plan on gluing a lot of things. I gave myself a really hoarse throat from a reaction to being an idiot and spraying a lot of stuff inside because I was too impatient for the rain to stop. Granted, I am very sensitive to scents and this is a common allergic reaction for me (and I was being an idiot), but just be warned if you are sensitive to scents and chemicals, too.THAT BEING SAID: it is one of the best, and easiest to use adhesives I have had. I am an avid doodleist, and I like keeping doodles and drawing from the same time frame in the same sketchbook best I can, and this was very useful for precisely sticking all the doodles and spare scraps of paper (or done when I was without sketchbook) into the main sketchbook.

Inexpensive way to mount photos
I didn't give this 5 stars because it takes a little practice learning the best way to use it. I lay my photos out on a paper covered table and have the cards ready that I'm going to attach them to. Doing it this way I can do a group of about 10. I spray each photo as evenly as I can get it the start with the first one I sprayed and put it on the card. You have a little time to remove and place it correctly if you get it wonky at first. When you're first learning I would start with just a couple of photos and work your way up if you plan on doing a lot of cards. It is much less expensive than other adhesive products I've seen and works well.

Working good so far
Used it on a 24x36 photo. Working good so far. Warning though, it sticks immediately, you wont be able to shift what you're gluing around, it will need to be right where you want it when you press it on. I had to pull this photo off the backing twice because I wasn't exactly right. I took some pulling and I almost ruined it, it's got some creases in it from peeling it off. I had to wait till that glue dried and then clamp the photo on the backing, pull it up on one end, glue that, and then the other. I used an old paint roller to push it on to keep from trapping bubbles.

Very slow delivery. Disappointing!
I used this in a project mounting many black and white photographs digitized from the early 1970s to make an artistic display. I ordered one can of spray, which was not enough and this second order must have come by mule train. Very delayed, disappointed. Made difficult the whole project. The product itself is very good and I have used the same product since the 1970s. Photos are permanently bonded and none of the adhesive bleeds through. My silver/gelatine photos from long ago still look as good as new, frankly better than these modern photos.

3M products are the best!
My entries into the fair required a mounting spray, so I used this product. I am truly amazed. It is permanent AFTER it dries. Before it dries, you can lift your photo without ruining it if you messed up on your placement (which I did). It doesn't require much to mount your photos either. I sprayed my arm too, and it came off very easily with soap & water. I look forward to using this spray for all of my photography mounting needs. 3M has many great products, and this one is definitely one of them.If my photos have any adverse effects from the spray, I will post new comments.

Works just fine; but a little too aggressive for me.
I've been using this fine product for decades. It is easy to work with, and it does the job with both traditional photo prints and inkjet prints. I have used it successfully with a variety of papers, with never any bleed-through or discoloration. My only criticism is that it seems more aggressive than it needs to be. I just don't need prints stuck down that firmly, because I am only putting them in frames with overmats (so 4 stars). I suppose Scotch is trying to emulate dry mounting, and it is that firm and permanent. People sticking prints into albums that get handled a lot might appreciate the stickum.
