This is a great bar
I bought this bar in 2015. Wanted a bar that had a unique look and the black bar and steel sleeves looks great with my black rack (see pic #1). I also wanted a strong bar (1,000 lb. capacity), even though my max weight has been 350 lbs, I did not want any excessive bar issues that I read about with lessor bars. I did add white paint (see pic #2) on the center and hand position rings so I could see them better and they also added to the look of the bar.Although I have missed a few workouts due to working out of town over the years, I love this bar. My base workout is the standard 5 X 5 and this bar works great for all sets. The knurling is just right and does not hurt my hands. Nor does it have any slivers. The sleeves spin easily and have grooves on them that help keep the weights in place (see pic #3).Let me be clear, if you are looking for a great bar at a great price, this is your bar.

Get this bar . Perfect price
To start my home gym I bought a cheaper Barbell from Temu and it wasn’t bad. It got the job done. But this bar feels 10x better and is at a great price point. The grip isn’t to strong to the point it hurts your hands but it’s gives you a great grip of the bar . The black color with silver handles look amazing as well. Great bar overall

Solid Olympic bar
I want to start with the cons because there aren't many. Actually, I have only one so far. A few other reviewers have mentioned that the packaging is insufficient. I completely agree. I don't know what all happened during shipment but the packaging looked like it had been rolled over by a tank. On the plus side, the bar survived completely undamaged. (To be completely fair, I received a cambered squat bar and a 60-pound slam ball in the same condition.)Now for the pros. This is a solid, beefy bar. It feels exactly like the ones in the gym. The sleeves turn freely but don't spin on their own. I don't know how other reviewers got a 4-second spin. Mine don't turn a full revolution. BUT...they do turn quite well with weights. I used a heavy band and a 45# plate to do some wrist rollers, and the sleeve was very smooth. The knurling is exactly right for me, just a little on the too rough side. It makes the bar very easy to grip. I don't use straps or chalk and the grip is amazing. I like the fact that it isn't knurled in the center. I didn't get a "squat rash" on the back of my neck.I don't usually pay much attention to how things look as long as they work. And appearances should be the last thing you care about when buying an Olympic bar but I have to admit that the black anodized center and the polished steel sleeves give it a garage gym vibe. "The Beast" is a great name for it.I haven't had any problems with metal splinters but it's only the first day.I'll write another review if anything changes. So far, I am very happy with the purchase.

Decent for the price
Decent bar for what it is. Probably the best bar you can get for around 150 dollars. After racking the bar a few times from having it for a week, some of the finishing on the bar will scrape off. I also found that the black finishing also comes off when you scratch it with your finger nail. Overall it gets the job done but it does feel cheap.

The Perfect Bar for Serious Lifters
I recently purchased the Cap Barbell THE BEAST Olympic Bar, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who is serious about weightlifting and powerlifting, I needed a bar that could handle heavy loads and feel solid in my hands. This bar is an absolute tank. The build quality is exceptional, and it feels incredibly sturdy, giving me confidence during squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. The knurling provides a fantastic, secure grip without being too aggressive, and the finish is durable and looks great. While it's a bit heavier than some other bars I've used, that's exactly what I was looking for. This bar is a fantastic value for the price and is a must-have for any home gym.

Best bar for the price!
This bar might not be considered a high level bar as some of the others out there that costs twice as much if not more but after using this bar for a month I don't doubt the quality of this bar one bit. At nearly $160 shipped (which I don't consider cheap) I think this bar is very comparable to higher priced bars out there and a much better value for the price. So what else do I have to say about this bar...PROS:- I love the black finish. It's a bar, but it just looks so nice. Yes, over time it will start to scratch up but who cares, if you're trying to get bigger, stronger or whatever you shouldn't be worried about that.- Some reviewers have complained about the knurling being too aggressive but after using it for month I feel it's just right. On other bars I've used when I do lifts such as deads as I start to fatigue I tend to start losing grip and would have to readjust my hands the last few reps. However, with this bar I haven't had that issue. I also like the fact that the bar itself doesn't have a smooth finish so even there's very good grip on the non-knurled sections as well.- It's rated for 1,500lbs. I will never be able to push that kind of weight and I don't know how accurate that rating is but I don't doubt this bar can handle very heavy weight and can take abuse. Not only does the bar look nice but it's built tough as well.- The ends are capped. Anyone who has ever used bars where it's an allen type bolt with the ends exposed knows the issues those can have.- Price and value. Again, for the price this bar is well worth the money. It'll be nearly impossible to find another bar as tough and rugged as this one without paying nearly twice as much if not more.CONS:- It won't look as nice over time. If you use it and a lot, wear and tear will be more noticeable than your typical silver, chrome finish bar.- Some may not like the threaded sleeves. I myself prefer the sleeves to be smooth but that wasn't a big deal to me.OVERALL THOUGHTS:This is the best bar for the money. There really are no cons as the ones I listed and what I've read in other reviews are more so personal preference. In terms of the value and quality of this bar you can't go wrong.
