Works well - revised review 8/10/22
NEW EDIT - 9-19-2022 Back to 5 stars *****I installed a large basement dehumidifier with built in humidistat a few weeks ago. The RH sensed by this device is almost always the same as the large dehumidifier’s humidistat. It is within 1 degree of the humidistat. The non-smart sensors were the ones recording inaccurate readings and have been removed. I am completely happy with this device. It allows me to remotely check the humidity level, and works with Alexa as well.EDIT: After 2 months of use, this device’s humidity readings seem to be inaccurate. My 2 other “non-smart” sensors record higher readings than this product. Prior humidity readings from this device were always 1-2 degrees higher, which was fine. I could adjust the alerts based on my experience with this product’s reading. For the last 2 weeks, this sensor’s humidity readings were 2-3 degrees lower than my other readings. As a result, no alerts were issued to me. I need to actually go into the basement and check all three devices. I realized at that point that this device now was reporting humidity levels lower than it previously recorded.I now need to manually check the other device readings, and if they exceed my limits, I need to alert Alexa to turn on my dehumidifiers, thus negating the use of this device. On a positive note, I was able to create a routine in the Alexa app, which would 1) turn on my dehumidifiers (actually the smart plugs to which they are connected), 2) have Alexa tell me “Dehumidifiers on”, then 3) wait 1 hr and 30 minutes, next 4) turn the dehumidifiers off, and finally 5) have Alexa tell me “Dehumidifiers off.”However there is no IFTTT applet which will automate this process so don’t don’t have to tell Alexa to turn on dehumidifiers. Once I get an alert, I still need to have Alexa turn on the dehumidifiers. This is NOT the sensor’s fault. This brand just doesn’t have an applet using IFTTT.I will continue to monitor differences for another month and report back.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Just purchased and installed the device. Temperature and humidity readings are pretty much accurate with other “non-smart” devices in my unfinished basement. Notifications work correctly, as I’m alerted when the humidity level exceeds my target. I like the backlit screen and that I don’t need to worry about batteries dying.I’m currently trying to work with the Smart Life app and IFTTT app to trigger my smart plugs to turn on/off (for 2 dehumidifiers) based on humidity levels in basement. At this point I have not figured out how to create those scenarios. Hoping to be able soon.Currently, once I receive an alert, I open appropriate app and turn on/off the plugs. Once I succeed, the process will be automated.

Good Purchase for Local Use
This temperature sensor seems to be accurate, easy to set up and able to monitor remotely on your phone. I have an issue where if you set high or low alarms, the SMS texting feature is additional cost. It's not cheep, like $49.00 a year. This sucks because I know there are other sensors out there with free SMS. I will be replacing it as soon as I purchase another. Other than that, all else is good.

Seems to be accurate
USB power is nice. Display is hard to read unless you get in the right angle, but the smart home app functions well for checking the readings. I have noticed occasionally the app will change the display to Celsius, which requires a little tinkering, but not a huge inconvenience. I don’t use any integration so can’t comment on that. So far so good for simple Wi-Fi monitoring of the temperature and humidity. 5 stars from me for that purpose.

Great room temp/humidity monitor
I use the Tuya ecosystem almost exclusively. Tuya has some issues with Google Home, but works great with Home Assistant. Tuya local allows local automation tasks and does not depend on the internet. Faster and more responsive. This was compared against a calibrated Fluke meter, and is about a degree off, sometimes two. This is great for home automation.Cons:1-the time the backlight stays on cannot be adjusted.2-the viewing angle is narrow.3-the built in stand is flimsy and broke when my dog accidentally pulled it off the nightstand when she got tangled in the cord under the bed. A few drops of 5 minute epoxy fixed this.Recommended for a good room monitor, but not so much for beginners.

Really pretty nice
I’ve had this in my greenhouse for a couple of months now and I like it. Set up was easy and I’m no wiz kid at this tech stuff. I’d give five stars if the signal strength was a little stronger to my Wi-Fi. But it works fine. I’d buy again. Price is good

Easy Connection, Frustrating Setup, Non-Working Linkage
The connection to Smart Life was quick and easy. I could view the temp/humidity via Smart Life and also ask Alexa for the current temperature. So, the basics work; but that is not why I bought this device. Here are the problems:* To set up a scene, you go to Smart and click the "+" icon. This icon rarely shows up and when it does show up it normally lasts for a few seconds. You need to kill Smart Life, go back in, and get ready to hit the "+" as soon as you hit Smart. A frustrating exercise.* Once in the scene setup, the slider in selecting the temperature is too sensitive and could take you a few minutes to select the temperature you want, if you ever to get it. Setting up the scene is like setting up an Alexa routine, a no brainer if you have ever done that.* Now that the scene is set up and activated, just sit back and watch it. And watch it. And watch it. Huh? It never actually performs the action on the linked smart device when the temperature changes. For my use I would call this non functional and will be sending it back.

Poor "smart" integration
Granted, it does a great job as a temperature/humidity sensor, but the app and smart home integration (main reason for selecting this unit) is lackluster at best.Using it to monitor a greenhouse, I like the concept of the app "cozy home" feature, which compares indoor to outdoor temp, HOWEVER, it is represented in ⁰C only with bo option for ⁰F display.Smart Home integration with Alexa is abysmal, with no visual integration, o ly audible, and temp/humidity must be asked for seperately.App does show trend graphs, with the option of Day, month, or year. No weekly? Why is the information always truncated? That said, the sensor itself is fairly accurate and responsive, but if like me, you are looking for better smart home integration (temp triggered fans, lights, etc), I would recommend searching for other options
