Beautiful dog/cat house
We have two chihuahuas, so this little cat house are big enough for them. They're easy to assemble, and they look nice and sturdy. I only hope my dogs use them.

Works but a bit small
Was easy to assemble, felt a little flimsy. Don't know how well it will keep the feral cat warm. The male feral cat in the area doesn't seem to care for it, and feels small for such a big cat. It does have a strong odor. If it keeps the kitty warm during the cold winter, then it was totally worth it. Will update if all goes well.

Easy assembly
I read a ton of reviews prior to ordering, and I chose this house since it was insulated and big enough for my two barn cats to keep warm. They refuse to come inside and I finally had enough saved to get this instead of using a homemade hay filled box in the barn. The instructions rec’d two people and 30 minutes. Well I constructed it alone with a drill and my head to prop the lid up in 38m. I only had one mistake but it was easy to fix, I placed the wind curtain to the outside instead of the inside. The wood does have a strong scent, so I’ll be leaving it on the porch to air out before asking the barn cats to check it out. Here’s to hoping the barn crew appreciates the new house I got for them!

Solid cat house
We purchased this for a feral neighborhood cat. The unit is made of solid materials, and a well thought design. Assembly was a breeze and only took about 20 minutes.

Cozy
My cat is a outdoor cat so we bought to keep her warm during the cooler days. With all the rain we have had there is no damage it's holding very well. She is very comfortable with it and it's so big for her and she a little chunky mommas.

It will do the job
I recently purchased this item for a stray cat in our neighborhood. I had seen this product listed from different sellers on Amazon and ultimately decided on from this seller. We put it together last night and here is my official review. It was generally easy to put together, it took my husband and I around an hour. However, the instructions said “Panel A” yet none of them were labeled. The sides and top were pretty straight forward so we figured it out. I had read that the house tends to leak, so I put some weather proof protection on all sides of the house (see photo). The bottom panels just pop in, but there are some pretty big gaps (see photo) so I used painters tap to “seal” them. Then we placed two garbage bags over them to better keep out moisture and the cold air (see photo). There are “pre-drilled” holes so you can see where you need to place your screws. However, the hinge that opens and closes the roof didn’t seal on the original placement, so we had to tweak that a bit. The wood also doesn’t seem to want to connect when screwed (if that makes sense). There were lots of times where we’d have to take the screw out and re-do it. The wood also did split a little in different areas.I had also seen reviews of the smell. There is a smell to the house. It smells of paint not it’s nothing that I think wouldn’t go away with time. I did have to trim the plastic flaps on the doors a little so they would not get stuck. I also had to screw one into the side of the door to keep it down, yet the other ones are fine. The “insulation” is nice. However, the bottom of the house still feels firm and there isn’t much cushion. We’ll probably buy some straw (not hay) to put on the bottom for comfort and to regulate heat. I do like the fact that the installation covers the entirety of the cat house. It also zips up for easy installation and for cleaning.Overall, I think this is a fine cat house for the strays in your neighborhood. It is big enough to where you could put a small food bowl inside (I’m scared to put water since it might tip over). You’ll probably need to get something to fill in the cracks to keep out the cold air. I recommend the insulation cat house over the other without it. Especially with the cracks in the floor and how hard the wood is.If you are considering this house: please remember not to place blankets, towels, fleece, or even a pet bed in the house. If it were to get wet and cold, it will freeze inside the house. Hay will also hold moisture and may freeze. If you are looking into something that will regulate body heat and stay dry: always, always use straw!

A warmer Winter for your outdoor pets.
I ordered two of the cat houses with the insulation option for the several outdoor kittens who frequent my backyard and patio. I was well-pleased with the overall design, and relative ease with which they went together. Like several other customers who had listed reviews, I did drill pilot holes for most of the screws necessary to put it together, but even considering that, the houses were simple to build.I didn't install the winter insulation package until several weeks later when colder weather came, but I was VERY pleased with how it went together, and the overall fit. Like so many other reviews, my cats have so far only poked their heads inside, but I'm guessing they will really enjoy the additional weather protection as Winter gets here! Best of luck! Jim Benson :-)
