Ambiente 65 Humidor in Black Matte Private Stock Humidor

The Daniel Marshall Ambiente 65 is an excellent humidor. I've owned it for four months now and it maintains humidity like a champ! No leaks with this humidor. I try to maintain the humidity at around 68% RH and can usually achieve it. The humidifier uses a green foam to control humidity. I typically don't like to use green foam, but thought I would give it a try and I am very pleased. I have only had to recharge the humidifier once per month. The hygrometer lives up to the claim of Daniel Marshall that it need not be calibrated. I have a second hygrometer that is calibrated and both are exactly on mark. As far as the cosmetic problem with the humidor which gives it a lower price point, I did not find the issue. There humidor came with no discernable defects at all. Seasoning the humidor was effortless, it was pretty much ready to go when it arrived. I just tossed a large Boveda 84% into the humidor for two weeks and actually wound up with too much humidity and so had to leave the humidor open a few hours to get it right. I am enjoying my cigars out of this humidor, seems to age them very nicely!Over all, the quality of this "factory second" is amazing and now I want to buy one of their regular humidors to see how it performs!

This is my 3rd Daniel Marshall Humidor. I bought this for my office since my 150 cigar treasure chest was just too large for my desk. I really expected that the smaller humidor would have been of lower quality, but have been pleasantly surprised. This is the same top notch quality I would expect from much more expensive, larger DM humidors. It took a full 2 weeks to season with a 320 gram RH84 Boveda, but it holds humidity like a champ. I put 4, 60 Gram RH72% Boveda in the humidifier compartment since it gets frequent use and the RH inside has stayed right at 69%.I primarily smoke 6x60's and 6x52 torpedoes. I have 12 6x60s in each of the two outer compartments, 6 6x52 torpedoes in the center along with 4 5x42 box pressed maduro's and it is completely full. Thats a long way from the 65 count, but most people probably aren't smoking 60's and the count probably does not include the dividers. I could also probably stuff 20-Red Nasty's in the space between the 60's and the end of the box.All in all this is a great humidor for an office desk or even a drawer. The finish is flawless, there is absolutely zero movement on the lid and the seal is so tight you can drop it shut and the air will cushion it for a soft close.

I am a cigar newbie so two years ago I bought a great inexpensive humidor on amazon for about $30 that has served me well for 2 years. Now that I am starting to get some good cigars, I decided it was time to upgrade to a fancier humidor. After much googling, the Daniel Marshall Ambiente consistently came up as a great choice in the $250-500 price range. I think the "private stock" designation means this is considered a factory second or blemished unit at $299 (a bargain) but I don't see anything at all wrong with it. Is it possible to describe a black box as beautiful? Cause this is. The packaging was awesome. It came in a big box surround by styrofoam peanuts. The humidor was wrapped in several layers of tissue paper and the whole thing was inside a fancy cardboard box. It comes with hygrometer, lock and key, humidifier, and 2 ounce bottle of 50/50 PG/distilled water mixture. These pop up occasionally on Amazon so if you are in the market and can get this for anywhere close to $299 I highly recommend it.

I needed a bigger humidor, and the Daniel Marshall line came highly recommended. It is gorgeous, beautifully made, and I cannot find the flaw anywhere. I have it seasoning right now. The hygrometer/ thermometer seems to be quite accurate. I am eagerly awaiting the end of the seasoning period to put my cigars in. This is not cheap, but should last a long time. The only thing I do not care for is their foam humidifier pad, which I have swapped out for Boveda packs.

Wow! Extremely impressed!!! Now i know why so many greats only buy Daniel Marshall cigars or humidors! Beautifully made humidor is extremely easy to use and works great. Delivery was fast, it was packaged securely, and i have tried to find a flaw with the humidor and have failed. Looove the digital hydrometer and little gold magnetic reminder calendar!

Outstanding humidor. It is just perfect in every facet. I could not tell where the flaw was, but I truly believe only the personal craftsman can. Otherwise they gave me a signature case by accident. LOL

Fine in every way. Matte black great fishing details. For those who like quality without being showoffs, this is perfect. I wish the readout screen was illuminated but that’s my only qualm
