13pcs HSS Drill Bits High Speed Steel W / Metal Case Metric Twist Drill Bits Set

Really don't think there's any carbide tip, but they cut right through 1 1/2' apple (~ hard as oak) in a nice accurate hole. Also used them in a drill press with 1/4" and 1/8" 5052 aluminum plates without any problems. Did not need to peck at the holes at all...I did use some lard as a lube on the aluminum, as recommended by an old-timer machinist. Very good drills for the money, would buy them again. Nice case is a bonus.

Great set of bits, seem like they'll hold up very well over time. Went through standard 2x4 with no issue getting a few projects done in the basement. Case will help me actually keep track of them instead of them slowly disappearing over time like a lot of my other bits. Great set for the money.

for a kind of no name brand, these are actaully decent bits, and the price is right. i was surprised, I usually buy Milwaukee or DeWalt, but these are ok, if you dont use them every day and under extreme cicumstances.

Excellent package for the cost. They seem very sharp for my use in wood and plastic.
