I spotted this dress as I searched for an outfit to wear for formal occasions. What caught my eye was the lovely lace over the beige underskirt and the empire waist cut. I'm only 5'2" in height and apple shaped, so most formal wear needs massive alterations to fit me. Not so with this wonderful dress! The length came down to my ankles giving me a full length without worry of tripping on my heels. The waist was a true empire style which fits my apple shape perfectly. The black upper part of the dress fit well except for the wrap area. It was loose on me due to my not being quite so busty. However, I wore a comfortable black sports bra under it which gave me the support and modesty I prefer and seamlessly worked with the upper black fabric of the dress. While the waist was not stretchy, I followed the size directions and ended up with a perfect fit. I sat, danced, and hung out at the party in total comfort while I received many compliments on my attire.I am giving serious consideration to purchasing a second dress although I only attend a few formal events each year. All three versions are beautiful and unique. If you are like me, short and apple shaped, I would recommend this dress to you.

The skirt was beautiful. The top of dress was made of unbeatable material and ran smaller than expected. I purchased two to get correct size . Size did not make any difference in the top of dress.

I purchased XXL (the size chart says this is an 18W-20W), my usual dress size.I'm 5'6, 265 lbs. Beneath I am wearing a 46DDD bra, shapewear, and a lace camisole to cover my bust.The dress is extremely flattering. The delicate fabric was delivered without any damage or odd smells. I do take issue with a few minor details:The upper portion of the dress is not very stretchy. I'm a large woman and large women tend to have large upper arms. I understand the intention was for it to be form-fitting, however, there are fabrics out there that would hug my arm without being so tight. It was difficult to adjust the fabric around my arms (was easy to take off though!)The bust is also... very deep. I got a lace camisole to cover up a bit. I'm glad I did, otherwise I would have much more cleavage out which might work for some people but not for meeeeeMost important: If you are autistic or struggle with sensory overload please be aware that the skirt fabric might be too much for you. The shapewear under my dress is protecting my midsection from the horrible seam between the top and the skirt touching me but the hem of the skirt is a potential issue after an extended period of wearing it.

I wanted so much to love this dress, especially once it got here. The hemline is SO lovely and exactly what I was looking for, and the dress was 100% true to size based on the size chart, but just about everything else about it was just a little off. The material was just a little lower-quality than I might have liked, but for what I need it for (a concert) that’s not really an issue; the surplice neckline was way too low, even though circumference-wise it was otherwise a fine fit, but it would’ve been hackable with some thread or body tape; the sequins in the body of the skirt were a little bunchy, but again, in a concert setting nobody’s going to be noticing that from the audience. I will say a lot of reviews had issues with the sleeves, and I was worried because I have big arms even for a 3X. I did not find them constricting - and arm coverage and freedom of movement were both big considerations for me, this dress checked both those boxes nicely. None of the things would’ve been enough on its own for me to return, but unfortunately in combination, they were too much for the hemline to outweigh, at least for someone with my garment-altering skill set and limited free time. So bummed.

It does run two full sizes smaller than normal. I read all reviews for my daughters approx height & weight that included this info from other customers. I ordered a 4X for my daughter who usually wears a 2X. And fit was perfect! It's really well made, all threading intact and zipper is quality! I'm almost tempted to order 2 more in different colors for her as it's so well made! Fit is very flattering! Looks good with sparkly flat shoes and heels as well! My darling daughter looks like a princess in this dress! Daughter has sensory issues (autism) and dress and comfortable and soft. I bought this for Christmas day and wow! So gratifying to know she will be able to wear it all day and into the evening! ThNk you for such a high quality dress at extremely affordable price! Dress looks like a $300 dress and only cost a bit over $60!*PS I forgot to mention that a slip is optional as it is lined AS WELL!

Sizing: I wear a 18/20 in pants, 3X in shirts, 48 DDD in bra. I was not sure what size would fit best based on the sizing chart so I ordered a 6X and a 7X. The 7X fit loose on top and was too long in length. The 6X fit perfectly.Recommendations: I recommend wearing a push-up bra with a little space or a gap in the chest area because the overlapping in the top chest area will show the bra. I also recommend wearing strap heels or strap wedges, because pointy shoes and closed toe heels close the look too much, in my opinion. I also wore a tummy slimming undergarment, which helps smooth out to look.I wore this dress to a wedding in Sedona Arizona. The temperatures were 80° during the day and 56 during the night I did not have to takeoff anything extra and I was very comfortable during the night. The dress is very well-made. It has stretch to the top portion, and the bottom portion had absolutely no fall out.
