I have oily skin on my face, and I have been using green clay drying masks for a long time, but decided to look for something gentler when I expanded my skin care regimen and was concerned about doing too much to my face all at once. I was a little skeptical when I first tried this because it came in a pump bottle and the consistency was a lot thinner than the masks I am used to. And unlike green clay masks, this stayed fairly wet during the entire application. But what can I say? It worked well. As soon as I rinsed it off my skin was noticeably fresh and toned and soft. It's not as strong as a good green clay mask, and it won't instantly vacuum your pores like they do, but it is surprisingly effective for how gentle it is. This mask wouldn't bother my skin even if I used it every day, It also has a nice honey scent to it.

I used this mask every other day for the first week it was open, then not again for about a week. I didn't notice much change in my skin, and it is very uncomfortable while drying. It made my face very itchy as it dried on my skin, but that seemed normal for the type of mask it is. It had a very "earthy" smell to it after the first week. When I went to use it after about a month of not using it at all, it was FULL of mold! I am so disgusted that I likely applied a moldy product to my skin and that's why it smelled so "earthy" after the first week. Gross! Waste of money as it went straight into the trash.

Perhaps they've changed the formula, or some people received a bad batch, but I cannot agree with any of the negative reviews on this product. Yes, the product is not as thick as some of the cheaper masks I've gotten from drug stores, but that doesn't mean it's ineffective. The mask goes on a bit thinner than other masks (almost translucent), but you're using less product than you would with the thick ones. Give it about 15 minutes, and the entire thing hardens up. You can actually see where it's tightening the skin while the mask dries because it is more translucent than the thicker, heavier masks that I swear only harden on the surface and don't do much at all for your skin.I use this every 1 to 2 weeks. Normally I'll use those strips first to open my pores, then apply this mask a few minutes later. When all is said and done, my skin feels great and my pores look smaller than they did before. I can't complain given the price of this product!

I guess this mask would be OK if you don't have any clogged pores. My skin feels soft after this, but I always break out a day or 3 later (big bumps, I usually don't get these) I think it brings things to the surface but doesn't really pull them out. Go through the hassle of using a bentonite clay mask if you need to clear out your pores. I thought this would be nice because you don't have to mix it and it doesn't leave a bunch of clay that you have to get off but don't want going down your drain..but masks for me are for blackheads etc. Not just general skin smoothing.

Not as thick as expected. I've used other charcoal masks, and they applied darker and thicker than this one. Made my face feel soft and did well otherwise. No odor. Wipes off well with warm water.

OK, so first things first.... I noticed some reviews responses to questions and images that say the product is watery thin and does not work, mine is not watery nor thin and even my husband has noticed a very big difference in my skin since the first use. The instructions do say to apply a thin layer leave on for 20 min and remove although that does feel nice and refreshing and makes a difference; I like to cake it on adding several layers and letting it sit for around an hour (more or less) until it completely dries which it does it turns a light gray color and can flake off. I truely love this mask i use it about twice a week and every time I use it it feels like I just had a mini face lift.My advice to anyone that receives a watery product return it complain to the seller (maybe get a discount) and request a replacement because you probably just got a bad batch.
