Still going strong after a year
Love this guitar. First floating bridge guitar, sounds great and stays in tune after almost a full year of play. The locking neck bolts keep this thing tight! Took me a bit to get used to changing tunings on the guitar, but I've taken it to Drop C without losing too much tension or getting any fret buzz. Great playability.

Must have in your collection!
I love the action on this guitar! Sustain is great and the five way selection of pickups gives you a wide variety of tones. Sounds great in clean channel and rocks distortion!

Initial setup was horrible.
The only reason I gave this four stars is because it took hours to get this set up. I understand not every guitar is coming out of the box ready to play, just know that I know a bad setup from climate adjustments. Also, the “lock” hasp on the case was broken off. As soon as I unboxed it and set it on my couch to open it up, I saw a small metal piece fall in front of the case. No big deal because I doubt the hasp is rugged enough to keep anyone out of it. So don’t bother buying a lock, that’s sold separately. The trem block was 1/2” too high and the action needed significant lowering. Thankfully this isn’t my first setup and now it plays as it should. The pickups are awesome. The body and neck are beautiful and solid. The black chrome hardware look incredible in contrast to the white body top. The natural back and sides were a brilliant design feature. As for Sam Ash, the seller, I had an issue with shipping and they made amends for it. Great seller. Back to the guitar…aesthetics aside, the ash/maple wood combo give this guitar a very chimey sound acoustically. It sounds as good as a Les Paul unplugged, and that’s saying something. The whole issue with my initial problem was simply put, the strings weren’t stretched appropriately at the factory. That’s it! I’m a D’addario fan, but they need a solid stretch before you can clamp anything down. The floating trems are infamously difficult during and after string changes, and if you don’t get the “spring” out of the strings when you’re winding them taut, you’re in for days of retuning and trem block adjustments…kinda like I was. But I’m very satisfied with the purchase and the quality build of the guitar. I say it’s a bargain for a Japanese-made work of art.

Epic guitar that will have you swimming in chicks
Fantastic metal guitar but it's extremely versatile in both tone and looks. I get a compliment everytime I take it out. The neck is unreal. The pickups are American made DiMarzios and the 5 way switch gives you that strat sound when needed or that beefy bridge tone for heavey stuff. The pickups are actually kind of "bassy" and when down tuned sound epic when playing chuggy stuff. But I've also dialed in some sick blues/light rock tones. The floating bridge is probably the best on the market. Hands down better than an original Floyd (many argue that). The harshell case is absolutely fantastic as well and is cut very deep to recess the guitar super firm. The only thing I'd change is this guitar should come with the chicks.

This guitar sounds and plays as good as it looks. Also the build quality and finish are faultless, (as they should be for a guitar of this price), I'm very happy with it
