Great just not for smaller bait fish
Good, it works. Definitely won't work for minnows or anything under an inch in size really. It is nice and sturdy and lightweight. Put a little bread in there and you can catch plenty of bait fish. Me personally I 3d printed a piece that shrinks the size of the trap so I can use it for smaller fish. Still will work out of the box though.

Durable and Functional at a Great Price
Love these traps. They are cheap and they do the trick--I catch a lot of crayfish and have been using this type for years and they last. I buy a few more each year. The way they stack together when opened lets me carry a bunch as I am moving from spot to spot.

Crawdad trap
These crawdad traps are great! We ended up buying two of them. Easy to put together and crawdads can't crawl out of them. Light weight and durable. Highly recommend these if someone is looking for an affordable and easy to put together crawdad trap. We also like that the two pieces slide into one another for storage.

Well built. But holes could be smaller or better designed.
I recently purchased the Frabill Torpedo Crawfish Trap made from heavy-duty steel mesh, and overall, it’s been a solid addition to our crawfishing gear. We’ve used it several times this season, and I’m impressed with its overall quality and durability. The trap is well-constructed, with sturdy steel mesh that feels like it can withstand plenty of use over the years. It’s evident that Frabill put a lot of thought into the design, making it easy to set up and handle. The torpedo shape works effectively in the water, allowing us to catch crawfish in various environments. However, I do have one concern: the size of the intake holes. While they are designed to allow crawfish to enter easily, we found that some smaller crawfish were able to escape through the holes. It would be beneficial if the intake holes were either smaller or adjustable to help minimize this issue. This is something to consider if you're targeting smaller crawfish, as it can be a bit frustrating to lose some of our catch.Despite this drawback, I have to say that the Frabill Torpedo Crawfish Trap performs well overall. It’s easy to clean, lightweight for transport, and it catches a good amount of crawfish when set up properly. I would definitely recommend it to fellow crawfishing enthusiasts, just with the caveat about the intake holes. It’s a good product that gets the job done, with the potential for improvement. Happy trapping!

California Delta Crawfishin'!!!!!
Bought 8 of these when they were posted to Slickdeals' front page for less than $5 each. I was limited to 4, so I had my sister buy another 4 for me. Hey, if you want a crawfish boil, you need lots of crawfish. If you want lots of crawfish, you need lots of traps. Don't buy one and expect that you'll have a feast. These work perfectly. Just make sure you properly secure the clip to both halves and make sure you link both halves on the other side of the fastening clip. There are some complaints I've read about people losing half the trap. The only way I can see this happening is the fastener loop on one half breaks or user error. The clip is very sturdy and is a little bit of a chore to open. That is good because if it is easy to open, it is also likely to fail easily. Also, I heard a complaint about how the halves when open don't secure to each other and the untied half can be lost if dropped in the water. Easy fix for that is to add a zip tie. I use a palomar knot to tie the rope to the clip. I am a big fan of Bob Hansler's videos on Youtube. He uses Gees Crawfish Traps. These appear to be just as good but cost less. Anyhow, just cheap dog food works perfectly fine for crawfish. Instead of dropping the dog food right into the traps like Bob does, I zip tie mesh bags to one half of the pot. I use the re-usable zip ties to suspend the bait in the middle of the trap. The reason I do this is because I fish off steep banks in the delta. I don't want the crawfish crawling up the the sides or the bottom of the trap eating the bait from outside the trap. I want them to crawl in and get trapped (commercial crab fishing traps do the same thing). Anyhow, I'll post pics soon.
