Attached to my after market radio with multiple USB ports that instead go to clove box I can neatly hookup

One cable works well but when I connect the usb connector to the Apple CarPlay connection on back of the radio unit, it does not function. The original cable to the radio works well and it’s a USB 2.0, so I’m unsure if the Apple CarPlay on radio accepts USB 3.0. I have a Pioneer 8400NEX unit, so it is high endUpdate: Finally got it to link up with Apple CarPlay. Works well and looks good. Cables are super heavy duty/thick so be sure you have sufficient space behind your unit.

USB cords I plug into the front seem loose and disconnected easily. It’s ok for the price but annoying overall and I would rather pay more to not have this issue. I’m going to live with it for now but I will definitely try a different brand when I get around to replacing it

Nice looking product. The USB ports are slightly oversized so the cords wiggle causing bad connections. I bent the outside of the port in slightly to make it tolerable but I'd replace it if I didn't have to completely disassemble the dash again.

I just recieved this and all of the usb connections are loose. The plugs seem to stay connected at the moment but it takes no effort to remove them. Im sure road vibration will make them fall out. I can only see them getting looser and failing shortly. I wish I had noticed before drilling a mounting hole for it.

I bought this to add a port for Apple CarPlay in my old cigarette lighter. Every time I hit a bump in the road the cable wiggles and the CarPlay disconnects. I’ve tried several different cables and I’m to the point where I’m ready to take it apart and replace it with a different brand.
