Knopf Wonder: Illustrated Edition

I am so happy with this book for my 11yo. He has to read it for summer work. This is a compromise from his graphic novels. He likes the visuals and they keep him moving along. His classmate was over and was super excited to look through it to see how the characters were portrayed. The quality is perfect and I love the foil and die cut on the dust cover. I plan to hold onto this book.

I wasn’t sure when I bought this what the reading level was, but it ended up being pretty easy. My 10 year old loved it, and only took about a week to read it on her own. The chapters are very short, and the message is sweet.

Both my boys, 10 & 7, loved every single chapter. They kept begging for me to read more. It’s such a thoughtful way of conveying empathy by showing it from multiple perspectives. This is our most favorite book.

Book arrived with cover ripped. Not a huge deal, reading with my daughter, but I am disappointed.

My granddaughter has wanted this book for some time - thrilled to receive it!
