From someone way out of the target demo.. eh.. it's all right.
Disclaimer: Read before the movie came out.I bought this figuring it would be a quick read and that it would clear up some answers I had from the trailers, and I was right on both accounts. It's a about 90 minute read for adults such as myself, and it does answer some questions, but most were already pieced together by the barrage of trailers they've released so far.The writing isn't too bad, it's mostly done in Peter Parker's first person, which seems like a great way to connect with its target audience. It does take some big jumps in exposition, almost as if it were written directly from a script, and excluding parts where it would say "Ext. - Rooftop - Night" and such. You'll be asking yourself things like "Wait, where is now? Is he dressed as Spider-man already?" The same goes for some of the action sequences, too, in where I had to go back to what I had seen in the trailers to get a proper visual at times. And like the other review pointed out, this is not the complete movie, I'm guessing it stops at about the halfway point. I don't think a kid reading this would mind too much, but keep in mind that if you buy this for one you're definitely going to have to take them to the theater later. In that sense it does kind of act as a giant advertisement.

Works in Anticipation of the Film
I purchased this book anticipating some spoilers for the film, being an impatient viewer and reader. Of course, like many of these books, only part of the story was told in anticipation of the film.Still, this book gave a well-written preview. I'm confident that young readers would enjoy it, and even an adult reader like myself who just can't get rid of his comic book roots.

It's great! However
It's great! However, if you were hoping to get the whole story early, you're out of luck. It cuts out before Tony and Peter have it out. We've heard the rumors of Iron Man's life hanging in the balance; but, it doesn't say here.It ends right after Peter saves his friends. It does have the "Avengers," but he hasn't quite defeated them yet.

Great!But...
It does not give the full story.. only 3 quarters! It stops after the washington monument scene and the book never reveals the vulture is Liz's father

#ClassroomLibrary + 8th grade
My students LOVE Junior Novelizations. Especially my reluctant readers. I love adding these books and usually order 2 copies because new books such as these are in high demand. Completely recommend for a classroom library. Love how it's pretty much the script in book form. =)

Not the full story!
Don't buy this if you're looking to get the whole story. It literally feels as though the book was cut a third of its way into the movie and you're left high and dry. Very frustrating. False advertising by Little Brown Books. This isn't the complete novelization. Don't waste your money.

Not the whole movie
For some reason, I was not aware, these books only contain the first quarter of the story. Not sure why, a disappointment for my son.
