Bought for my Sister-In-Law for a Gift for Christmas.This product is great for even doing Corrugated letters like you see in all the craft fairs or flea markets. Great buy, also does an amazing job on flats. I was looking for something to cut an intricate design into an antique milk can. I saw the ad for this on TV, and ended up ordering it on Amazon for the same price, but with Prime Shipping. The tool did the job, and it was fairly easy to handle. I think because of the density of the material I was cutting, it was REALLY LOUD, so I think my neighbors weren't too happy that day.There are a few issues I had with the kit:1. The red handle that is supposed to help make it easier to guide, DID NOT FIT the chuck on ANY of my drills, and I have 4. So, that stunk, because that then, is useless.2. The kit only comes with one punch. That's the cutting edge that is necessary to cut anything. They are replaceable, and depending on the material you're cutting, they eventually lose their edge and need to be replaced. I went through 3 on my project. Luckily, I had ordered the "Versi Cutter Punch Pack-5 Replacement Case Hardened Steel Punches For Your Versi Cutter by Renovator" or I wouldn't have been able to finish my project. They are pricey, at $15 for 5, but you can't cut without them.3. The directions are limited, and the DVD that was included wasn't a how-to video, as I thought, but patterns for cutting, which I don't need.So, I felt like I paid extra for things that either didn't work, or that I won't use, and needed to buy other things that aren't included, but are absolutely necessary for the operation of this tool.So, while I like the tool, I feel like they need to maybe offer a couple of different packaging options, and also let you know ahead of time about what type of drill this guide handle will work on. Seems like a waste. And, perhaps offer a way to purchase the punches AND a cutting punch die replacement, as it states that the die needs to be replaced every 3 punch replacements.I only have used this for the one project, but it did work for that. The one piece of advice I have for using this and extending the life of the punches, is to make sure to spray WD-40 into the punch during your project, as well as oiling the material being cut. That will help clear out any cuttings and keep everything well-lubricated. They barely mention lubrication in the instructions, but it is imperative.***I also would recommend that if you are working on a project that you can fit inside the size of a kiddie pool or something, do it! The tiny crescent shaped pieces of metal can be a mess, and difficult to corral. But, if you have an old kiddie pool or some way to contain the bits, I would highly recommend using that, as it will REALLY help with your clean up.***

I have 6 different drills and the red plastic handle didnt fit any of them. The instructions said to use the handle for saftey but the tv ad shows no one using. I think it might have fit one of my drills without the handle. Hooking it up to my air drill without the handle it tried to cut 18 gauge sheet steel . About 6 inches into the cut it stopped cutting. I put a new punch in it and only cut a few more inches and quit. The cuts i made had sharpe burrs. Then i boxed it up and did a no hassle return. Wish it would have worked, let down

I understand that this tools is a "hobbyist" tool, but, it does show and describes cutting light gauge corrugated metal roofing, which is the main reason I purchased it. I had a task to cut off 1 1/2" from a roof line...a long roof line. The Versi-handle would not fit either my electric or cordless drill, so right of the bat it was not convenient and I probably should have sent it back right then. Or, I should have taken my neighbor's advice and used a skill saw with the blade turned backwards.The tool will not cut over the main ridges in sheet metal. The cutting die and punch were shot before the job was completed.I might purchase a new die and punch and use it for little projects, or I might just shoot it. I don't recommend it, ever.

Great tool, used it as soon as It arrived. Made my project go very easily and it will be used many times again. Very satisfied. Sometimes I’am very Leary of tools that I see advertised on TV. However I must say it’s everything it’s made out to be!

Husband tried this out and loves it

Bought this for my husbands Birthday!!!! He really seems to love it even tho he doesn't use it for the things I hoped for, but, it was his gift, not mine. I can't wait to get my hands on it!!! He call it a nibbler.
