Good, Reasonably Priced Basic Pup Tent
So far, I have used this tent to provide a backyard guest room for a house guest. It appears to be solidly made. It comes with the tent, two folding aluminum poles, 16 steel stakes, two long ropes, and 6 shorter ropes. Set-up was simple. It comes with set-up instructions ... written in French. For those who, like my house guest, are not accustomed to dealing with this type of tent, I will include the instructions here:1. Attach floor of the tent to the ground using 8 stakes.2. Set up one tent pole at each end of the tent. The end of the tent pole that is covered with a thin plastic disc goes on the ground, just outside the floor of the tent. The top end of the pole is stuck into a triangular, plastic-laminated pocket at the top (peak) of each end of the tent.3. Use the ropes and the 8 remaining stakes to finish tent setup. The two longest ropes get attached to the loops at the end peaks of the tent. The six shorter ropes get attached to loops on the sides of the tent (3 loops on each side). Each of the ropes has a metal thing on it that can be used to help tighten the rope. This is a single-layer tent which is made of what appears to be waterproof, but not breathable, material. There is a very small mesh window at the top of the tent door at each end. (It is sheltered from rain because the top of the tent extends out a bit.) There is an easy way to fasten the tent doors open if you want to. When my house guest used the tent, it was a hot summer night, and at the beginning of the night, he left both tent doors open in order not to be too hot. (Closed the doors in the middle of the night when he heard raccoons in the yard.)I like that with this type of tent, the poles are less prone to bending or breakage than poles on the newer-style free-standing tents. The tent stakes are strong, could probably be pounded into a variety of types of ground without bending. (As other reviewers have noted, though, they are steel, and thus heavier than comparable aluminum stakes.) Also, this tent is a bit more roomy than the similar 2-person basic pup tents that I used 30 years ago.

Great Tent for the money
I have received incomplete, the 2 poles are missing.Update (11/15/17)The vendor followed up and shipped the missing poles. The tent is now complete. The tent is of great quality, and great condition. The poles are aluminium and fairly light. I have replaced the tent stakes with aluminium ones to save weight (aluminium gutter nails from Home Depot).I have reduced the number of stakes to 6 and I am not using the poles to save weight. After sleeping in 17F weather in moderate winds, I am happy with the purchase. It has plenty of room for 1 one person and lots of gear and also for 2 close friends. This will be a great hunting tent.

Descent value, but some issues
I was happy with the construct and weight of these tents. I ordered 3 for my boys to use on scout outings. Out of the 3 I had two good tents and two good sacks. The rubberized coating had released from one bag and one tent compromising the waterproofing and making a bit of a mess.

Wanted to like it
I wanted to like this tent. It had many good reviews that made it sound amazing. Upon arrival large chunks of the rubber coating on the fabric were falling off, flaking, or just not there. It looked absolutely hideous and water would get through these holes like there was nothing even there. I tried Seam Sealer on the holes and seams, but it just made it look even worse. I even tried to paint a new coating over it all but more of the base layer just bubbles up and peels off as it sits outside. I'd return it if I could but I'm pretty sure after all my attempts at fixing it, they wouldn't take it back. Try something else. Don't be like me, now I'm out about a hundred dollars in total and nothing to show for it.

BRAND SPANKING NEW CONDITION!
My F1 French Army Troop Tent (OD Green) arrived today in new, unused condition. As many are aware, this tent design has undergone many iterations over the years. Mine has the following features: YKK zippered doors on BOTH ends, shock-cord poles, steel pegs (17), mosquito mesh side panels (with covers) and mosquito mesh apex vents. Military makers tag shows a manufacturing date of 1993. Tent has no odor whatsoever from being in storage. This tent is quite literally BRAND NEW. Set-up was quick and easy. Uses 16 stakes for complete tie-down. This is a great military tent. Buy with confidence; this one is a winner!

Well-designed and durable, but I sealed seams.
Tested for over 4 weeks _straight_; THREE HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS with no problems. Quality is impressive for the price. Easy setup and teardown. Stakes are heavy steel (I like that). First, I set up in direct sunlight to examine sewing. Sunlight visible through the bottom-corner seams, so I double coated them with seam sealer (inside & out). Used Gear Aid Seam Sealer brush-on silicone on every seam inside and Kiwi Camp Dry silicone spray on the seams outside (for redundancy). Strong material. Love how the roof extends over the sides, and the side vents are ingenious. Doors with vents at both ends, but I wish they had bug nets. I’m buying another one.

Love the fact it has a floor in it
A well-made tent. Everything that came with mine was brand new. I don't think mine has ever been used.Have not had it in any rain yet but will be waterproofing it, regardless. Love the fact it has a floor in it. Will make it nice when it does rain.Probably not the best for backpacking but would carry this over 2 shelter halves.* Just got a day where I could actually set it up. Not sure if it was said in any other reviews, or if the question was asked, but mine has the screens on both doors. I have heard some do and some don't.Needless to say I am really happy about it!
