Highly suggest beefing this coop up a bit to prevent predators!
As has been mentioned by a few there were a few cracked parts. In our case it was the pan; however my husband beefed it up a bit and we repainted it. Some parts were rather flimsy so we beefed up the entire kit; giving it the ability to last a bit longer and be placed much further up off the ground. We put railroad ties at the very bottom along with turning it into a chicken tractor as well so that we could move it around the yard; although that did make it a bit heavy. Over the wintertime we will be setting it up high on concrete blocks. (just our preference). We may end up keeping it in the garage when the weather hits below zero. Bantam hens not so great in the cold! We also use an insulating tarp over the top on cold and cool nights. We also put an aluminum roof on the top to help the rain get away from the sides of the coop itself. We gave it a bit of a overhang and some gutter affect. We have Bantam chicken so we also needed to add some extra wood to the ramp so that they could climb it appropriately. They were sliding because their footsteps and climbs are much smaller than a regular chicken. Once we added more steps in between the ones that were already there they took off and had fun climbing up and down! We have four Bantam chicks and they have plenty of room considering we put them in another chicken run tractor during the day! Highly recommend lining the pan and brooders with plenty of paper at the bottom and plenty of dry shavings; as long as this is done they are doing just fine, we are happy with this coop but please make sure you have the ability or that you know someone who can beef it up for you a bit. Thank you to the maker; we looked at quite a few and this one was a nice design for our current needs.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money cheaply made very small .Tryed to return said if we kept it would knock the price down they did the return shipping if I knew before we put it together would have returned the chicken house and been glad to pay for return shipping.

Five Stars
Fairly easy to put together. Perfect size for our chickens and ducks.

Too small, wrong color
The house is cute, but highly doubt you will stuff 4 large or 8 small chickens in it. Also the colors aren't what is shown in the picture. Over priced for what you get. Should be listed for 2 chickens.

Cheaply Made
It served it's purpose for awhile, but it's pretty cheaply made. Only lasted a year.

Great value but take additional steps....
Fair price for a nice little coop. Parts and pieces all came in great condition. Easy to put together. (We switched which side the door went on. This results in the back end panel to be turned inside out, but it wasn't too difficult to do). The crucial part about making this type of budget coop kit work well and last a long time are steps AFTER you build it. We installed ours on a 4x4 stud frame. This keeps it off the ground, keeps it square, and we expect will greatly increase how long it lasts. We also gave ours 2 coats of quality paint. Looks cute but also will keep the wood from rotting etc...For our 3 larger breeds hens, we use coarse sand in the bottom of the removal tray. Works GREAT for scooping the poops. (we use a large cat little scooper). For winter we have installed corrugated plastic panels on the pitched gable part of the roof and also the large sloped part of the roof. The panels over hang each side by about 7". This will help keep rain and snow from coming in. My only complaint about the coop is that the large sloped part of the roof wasn't sloped enough and water would sometimes pool at the edge. The corrugated panels solved this.**IMO - This coop is not appropriate for more than 3 chickens. Ours free range in the yard during the day so it's perfect for them to eat and sleep. 2 or 3 chickens that live full time in here would be absolute max.In summary, this coop can last a long time and be a great little coop with steps taken to protect the wood and add additional weather proofing measures.

Unhappy chickens
Very small and difficult to open and close nesting area sliding door. Wood very soft and only good for 3 to 4 full size chickens. I was disappointed with overall quality.

Coop Results
I was very disappointed. The quality of the coop is not good. I do not believe it would make it through winter. It's a very cute design but not the sturdiness I expected.
