The ease of programming was amazing.I followed the instructions and programmed three fobs in approximately 30 - 40 seconds. All works well. I am impressed at the cost that was avoided by not having a garage do this task.

Product said it was not for lost fob situations, but that is what I had and it worked great. Our fobs stopped working around ten years ago, and there was no way we could afford what the dealership or locksmith wanted to replace them. (Around six hundred dollars.). I bought this kit and another cheap fob, and less than ten minutes both were working perfectly. 75 dollars total for two new fobs. Unbelievable! I would give it six stars if I could. This was for a 2007 Chevy HHR.

The media could not be loaded. I didn't want to give it even 1 star. The packaging was tampered with and so was the fob. We tried it anyway and it didn't work.

Is easy to use if you follow the instructions. ( It only worked for my door locks which was fine with me. But I have read it does not work on HHR 2006s so read the reviews regarding your model.It actually took me 10 minutes. The reason is the 1st 7 minutes I refused to believe I had to take out the module open and close the door.. And reinsert the module.😣* I think the reason it would not fix the car starting was because cause a year ago my battery died and was replaced a week later and part of my computer programming got erased. So you may have to go to a dealer or locksmith to get that part fixed)

simple / worked / 2007 HHR still seems a little spendy to me........BUT I know what dealers get so not spendy ............. why when you buy a used car is there only 1 key ????????????UPDATE; I did this review and later went out to use my car, the "money lite" was on (check engine) it set a code P1682, driver 5 line 2............ i have not had any issues with the check engine system so i assume it wasthe key fob tool , I erased the code and it has not come back .... we will see.

Unlike the description you do NOT need an original fob for this to work - we lost both years ago. And unlike someone else reported it works fine even if your tire pressure light is on or you have a "check engine" light (I have both). I even bought a second cheap fob at the same time and it programmed both no problem.I will warn you it does take a bit of force to plug in, maybe those who had problems didn't fully plug it in?

I purchased a Dorman 13736 Keyless Entry Remote from Amazon Warehouse Deals. It didn't work.The instructions on the Dorman website state "Programmer will work for no more than 3 sessions." I don't know if that means: three sessions with one specific vehicle OR three sessions and then it dies!Anyway, it didn't work, so I just ordered another one...again from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Hopefully, the second time is the charm!-------Ok, I ordered another one. Again, from Amazon warehouse deals. It came.I had - at the time I bought the first one - also bought two additional key fobs off Amazon. My plan was to have three working key fobs if this device worked as promised.I plugged the programmer in. It didn't beep like it was supposed to. I tried it a couple of time, each time turning the car off and opening the door per the instructions. It finally worked...it beeped...and it programmed the two additional key fobs I bought off Amazon. But the weird thing was that it wouldn't program the key fob that came with the programming kit! Crazy! If anything, that is they key fob it should have had no trouble programing. But no go.Anyway, I have two working key fobs instead of three. But I am happy that the programmer worked. I would, however, advise people to buy additional key fobs when you purchase this - just in case - like me - your Dorman programmer comes with a key fob that doesn't want to be programmed.

5 stars for ease of use and stuff but only 3 overall although it’s mostly an Amazon issue. Be sure to check the packaging and if the manufacturer packaging looks like it has been opened, send it back for a replacement. These will only work once. Seems some folks like to order the cheap $10 fobs and then order the $65 kit and then send it back for a refund after they use it to program the cheap fob. My first had been opened and wouldn’t work. Replacement was new and worked great. Took me about 30 seconds to program and fob works perfect.
