For those looking for the original spirulina Raw Revolution bar, this is similar but not the same. The previous recipe produced a darker green, smoother textured, very richly flavored bar. This current formulation includes many whole sunflower seeds and other nut pieces and is less sweet, less luxurious tasting, and perhaps less satisfying. Health foods are an acquired taste for some people, so although I find these delicious, some people may be turned off because they aren't predominantly wheat/oats plus sugar/ corn syrup. However, as a health food, it is WAY too sweet. Dates, the 2nd ingredient, are plenty sweet and adding agave nectar as the third ingredient is definitely overkill.If you think agave nectar is good for you, check out its fructose content and then think again. I'm also a little skeptical about the "raw" claim for agave nectar, but I have read there is a way to make it without heat using enzymes instead. Hopefully it at least has some good trace minerals. Certainly the other ingredients are good.I have to say that it's rich and filling enough to satisfy me, and it feels good in my stomach (but so does ice cream). I may buy it again as dessert and to have on hand for emergencies, but if I find something less sweet, I'll use that instead.It is wheat-free, so for those of us who need that, it's nice to have it available in stores or on the Web.

I really like these bars, I'm very appreciative to everyone who took the time to provide their real-world opinion of this product. We bought 3 boxes, 1 green and 2 bergundy. I like the green ones best and my girl likes the bergundy ones so it works out fine. These things are really filling! If you're a couple hours past your breakfast and need a quick filler, this will exceed your expectations. I've been taking them since Monday of this week and have had far more energy in the morning than weeks previous. We have been using regular power bars for the last 2 months, so I can easily gauge my energy difference using a different product. There are still a few poor power bars left, anybody want them, we dont!I fully intend on purchasing these bars on a regular basis, and trying out the other flavors we have yet to try. This is a solid product and I have let my colleagues at work try a section out. 3 of those people placed their orders that evening.

I have ordered these Spirulina bars for probably close to 3 years now and Love them! However, I was just getting ready to place another routine order and quite to my surprise,,, noticed that the price has increased by $8.00 / box !!! Additionally, I had been receiving the product in Raw Revolutions newly designed white box. No big deal there until I just received my last order in the original green box which had an expiration date of EXP26SEP17 on the box. The expiration date on the box of my previous order is EXP20MAR18. (See attached photo) Obviously, some older stock was sent to me which was not appreciated. To be fair, I did contact Amazon about this issue and they did resolve the issue to my satisfaction. I would have rated this product a solid five stars. However due to the circumstances involving the price increase and my most recent experience, I'm rating it 3 stars.

I love these bars! And I feel good about eating them because of the healthy short list of ingredients, which is what I wish most snacks would have. I look forward to eating one of these every morning and have to stop myself from eating more throughout the day so I don't eat the whole box! Some might not like the color, texture, taste, etc. But for someone like me who loves raw real foods it looks & tastes great. The crunch of the cashews and almonds also make it that much better. I bought one of these in store a while back and it was a bigger size, but I honestly feel these are the perfect little size and an easy to go snack.The only thing I wish was different is that they would use raw honey instead of agave nectar, but other then that they are all around a yummy healthy treat!

This does not taste as bad as I thought it might, it actually grows on you. To me, it is not too sweet, and I don't like sweet stuff. I like it. It is basically a date bar, but not as sweet as actual dates, kind of thick and chewey and shot through with finely ground cashews. The consistancy reminds me of a big thick powerbar kind of thing. I will probably try some other flavors too. It has a lot of calories, but I am using it to add more live food and fruit and nuts to my diet, and it seems to be good for that.

Easily the best bar I have probably ever tasted in the health food bar genre. I can't get enough of these. I've had all the raw revolutions, as well as many many other brands, and this one takes the pedestal, if only slightly over my other favorite: Organic Food Bar brand.They have peanut butter in these bars, and it is great. The PB gives the product a bit more fat and yields a taste that is far more flavorful than many of their bars which contain a lot of cashews and dates. I recommend the others as well but this is like a full blown healthy candy bar. Heavenly. Just buy them. Stop asking questions.
