High quality puppy kibble that actually made a difference
I did a lot of research trying to put together a balanced diet for my now 7 months old puppy, and this has honestly been one of the best choices we made. We use Orijen as kibble, for low-value treats, scatters, in snuffles and other toys, and pair it with The Honest Kitchen Whole Grain Puppy Clusters for regular meals and smaller amounts of Ziwi Peak for higher-value treats. I went with the grain-free version since her main food already includes grains. After transitioning from the shelter food, I noticed real improvements. Not right away but a few weeks later. My dog scratches less, has seriously a shinier coat, and a much healthier BM. It's definitely more expensive than some other known brands, but the quality shows. If you are looking for a top-tier puppy kibble and want to be thoughtful about ingredients, this one is worth it.

Happy puppy!
My dog absolutely thrives on this food! The ingredients are top quality — full of real meat and nutrients — and I can tell the difference in her energy level, coat shine, and overall health. She loves mealtime now and eats every bite enthusiastically. I appreciate that it’s made without fillers or artificial stuff. It’s definitely a premium food, but worth every penny for the quality and peace of mind.

Counterbalance
I see a lot of negative reviews on here so I thought it prudent I add my $0.02 The is an incredibly high quality dog food, probably one of the best that money can buy without going for freeze dried raw, wet or DIY. I have always fed my dogs Orijin over the years and they have always been active and had excellent body composition. I recently got a german shepherd corgi mix puppy and it was a no brainer, Orijin puppy formula. OF COURSE when you switch a dog to a new food, they’re going to have loose stools, especially if the breeder was using a poor quality food with a lot of filler. One of the great things about high quality food vs low quality food is that you have to feed about half as much for the same calorie density and they aren’t just craping monster poops of rice and useless fiber. Whole prey is not only more nutrient dense but it’s also a higher fat food that people aren’t used to feeding, this can lead to softer poops as well, but soft, not diarrhea. One of the things I do to help in the transition / seed the gut microbiome and in general is mix in a couple tablespoons of full fat plain yogurt mixed in with each meal, but other fermented foods like sauerkraut are great as well. And he gets basically no treats, I use his food for training. He has no signs of allergies (and I used to use fish formula to my poultry allergic dogs in the past, cycling through tons of brands before finding orijin) his coat is beautiful as he looses the puppy fluff and the denser wirey coat comes in. Skin, eyes nose clear, regular bowl movements and just growing like a beast. About to swap to Orijin puppy for large breeds as we finish this bag because I think I grossly underestimated his adult size. I love that there is such an emphasis on organ meats - natures super food, and fish which is excellent for breeds inclined to have arthritic or joint issues in the future. Anyway, I am team Orijin, not paid, I take the $100 hit monthly, but I will try to find it locally because when I had dogs before they had like a frequent buyer program when after so many bags you got one free and that does not happen with Amazon lol.

Top-Quality Food for a Healthy, Happy Puppy!
I recently switched my puppy to ORIJEN Amazing Grains Puppy Recipe, and the difference is incredible! The ingredients are top-notch, with real meat as the first few ingredients and a healthy mix of grains and nutrients. My pup absolutely loves the taste — he runs to his bowl every time! Since starting on this food, his coat is shinier, his energy levels are great, and his digestion has improved noticeably. I also feel good knowing I’m giving him a high-protein, nutrient-dense formula that supports his growth and development. The 4lb bag is the perfect size for keeping the food fresh and makes it easy to test before committing to a larger bag. Definitely sticking with ORIJEN — highly recommended for any puppy owner who wants the best for their dog!

Pretty sure it saved my pups life
So this is my first time every writing a review on Amazon but I felt the need to share our experience. My wife and I adopted a 12 week old Plott Hound about 2 months ago. We got her from a humane shelter in our town and she was the runt of her littler. She was skinny when we got her but didn’t look “unhealthy”. Even though the new environment was a huge adjustment, starting out she had no trouble eating the middle of the road kibble I purchased from our local grocery store. This very rapidly changed about a week in when she got the runs really bad and started getting super lethargic and distant from her food bowl. This sent us researching as this is the first pup my wife and I have ever raised, we were led to big brands like “Science diet” and “Purina One”, so we tried them out and there was no change. She continued to lose weight and have constant stomach and digestive issues. That’s when I took to Reddit and found out the big name brands spend billions of dollars every year on marketing which is why you hear about them everywhere you go. But because of this they sacrifice quality ingredients and don’t really focus on your pups health. Cut to me finding a post telling a very similar story to the one I’m tellling now and recommending a brand I hadn’t heard of, Orijen. They talked about how Orijen doesn’t really market, they put their funds right back into their recipes and it shows. I can gladly say after reluctantly purchasing due to the cost, that little Rae is thriving. Within two weeks of making the switch she has gained 5 pound of pure muscle, her stomach issues are non existent, and for the first time she RUNS to the food bowl at feeding time. I know this is a super long review but if you stayed and read it all lemme tell ya, BUY THE FOOD YOU WONT REGRET IT.
