Sisters: Songs Of Friendship, Joy, & Encouragement For Women

This is a great buy and a great cd. It's the soul sisters of Chess and Checker records and the songs are from about 1961 to 1971. All great artists Sugar pie DeSanto,Irma Thomas,Laura Lee Etta James,Fontella Bass are you getting tired yet. These are great women blues and soul singers right out of the Chess and Checker vaults owned by the great Leon Chess who started the company way back in the 50's with Chuck berry. You should buy this cd if you like this kind of music it rocks.

This songs in this CD are performed by many amazing female Christian singers. The melodies are soothing, the words and messages are uplifting and encouraging. If you need a reminder that it will all be ok in the end, this is a great CD to listen to. I had the cassette for years, then it broke, so now I needed the CD. Reminds me every time I listen to it who is in charge !

A perfect album to encourage all women, that you are not alone in life's little heartbreaks! This album truly touches upon all life's experiences and makes it somehow a little easier for you to get throught even the hardest times! It touches on religeon just enough to remind you there is a God but doesn't overwealm you with one just one religeous belief, very well done! Everyone could use some of messages in the songs! A great family album for all!

Had Sisters:Sonds of Friendshiop, Joy and Encouragement on cassette in the 80s and it had gotten damage. So I was very happy that I could get this on CD! I love the most of the songs except "Show me no mercy" one (not sure how to take that particular song). On the whole a good CD and I've enjoyed listerning to it again!

Just what I wanted. Bought this cd years ago and loved it, but it was damaged, and so I needed a new one.

I’d managed to leave my original copy in an old car cd interchanger, so finding this on Amazon was great news. Loved this compilation.
