Don't underestimate it's pinching hazard
I wouldn't let kids play with this unsupervised. Although it may seem weak and any child can pull a wrench off this no problem, if they come across a thick, flat piece of metal this sucker is clamping down hard and if a child s their skin underneath it they may not be able to get it free. If you get it stuck hard on something it's can be pride off through the top eyehole with a screwdriver, it can be slid off the metal, or if you could put your foot on the metal and apply 70 lb of strength to pull it off straight away that would work. It is not going to move anything 2000 lb. Supposedly a 2000 lb pulling force, double sided magnet means 1000 lb on each side. However this will not pull 1,000 lb or even a few hundred pounds. I was very disappointed that the delivery man didn't have to pry it off the wall of his truck when he delivered it to me. Oh well it is what it is.

Great magnet
I have no way of measuring this magnet but it is STRONG. Probably stronger than I need. I stuck it to a cast iron dumbbell weight and standing on the plate, I could not pull it off with a straight up pull. With lettering and holes on the plate, I would guess maybe 40% contact. If you are retrieving underwater 'treasures' you might be dealing with pipes or other non-flat objects so don't expect a 1000lb grip under real life conditions. If it does happen to land on flat clean steel (like the side of a bridge), you might be losing your magnet. Read up on magnet fishing and how magnets are rated so you have realistic expectations.

Works as intended
Packed well, arrived in decent time. Item is fine. Can't rave much about a magnet. It works just fine.

This thing is a Beast for it's Size and Cost. A Great Value!
I was looking for a 360 degree magnet to add to my collection. I found this on Amazon for $75 and figured I'd give it a show. Some of the reviews state things like "Much Smaller than the picture makes it look" and "This thing can't hold 2,000 pounds!" Both of these are true statements. It's only about the size of a tennis ball but it is impressive. No, it can lift 2,000 pounds, but no 2,000 pound magnet can. In fact no 500lb magnet can lift 500lb. You need to understand these ratings before you rant about them. A single sided 1000 pound magnet should be able to move (not lift) a 1000 lb item. A 2 sided, 1000 lb magnet has the pulling strength of only 500 lb on each side. Not 1,000. And these numbers only apply in the most ideal situations, meaning locking an entire magnet surface onto a VERY flat metal surface made of one of the more magnetic metals. No 2000 pound magnet is going to lift the back of your car off the ground though. So let's get back to this one. I throw it into ocean harbors in my New England city. My previous magnet was a 2 sided 1,200 pound and it was pretty good. This thing blows it out of the water. It's small size is actually beneficial. Making it easier to throw and less likely to get snagged. Almost every single pull it comes back covered in metal on all sides. Just yesterday it pulled up a 4 foot long piece of metal that weighed 85 pounds. Now keep in mind that it was only making contact about a 1/2 inch x 14inch area of this 85 lb piece and it hauled it up with no problem. This is about as good of a magnet fishing magnet as you can get for under $100. I recommend pairing it with the Gear Aid 1100 (100ft) paracord/carabiner combo selling here on Amazon for $13. Together they are awesome. No, I have no affiliation with any of these products I'm just a guy from Massachusetts who likes magnet fishing and is happy to share what he learns.

Great value, Great buy, but.
I have purchased three 2000pnd 360's and one 3600pnd 360 magnets. All have been of the highest Quality and stick to about everything. I have no complaints about the magnets. The problems I do have is in the paper work with the magnets. It states threadlocker or a lock washer would be included with all magnets. There was none included on any one of the orders. I took the 3600 eyebolt out to put threadlocker on it and found it had it on it. I do believe the 2000 magnets are also threadlocked already.(please let me know if I am wrong about the threadlock.) There should be a slip of paper in with these magnets telling you it was done already. Also there is no way to contact the company direct about it. The 3600 magnet, when delivered, was bouncing around the outer shipping box scratched and mard. It broke out of its box it was pack in. Also trying to put threadlock on it made it worse.(Not easy at all to do.) Not having the proper equipment. The magnets are great, just as advertised. But the shipping and the theadlock problem turned out to be a nightmare. (Shipping was not a problem on the 2000pnd magnets. Just the threadlocker.)

2000 pounds, +/- 1990 pounds (Hint: Minus)
This magnet is an overpriced joke. At first I was really cautious, not wanting to pinch my fingers. Then after trying a few small items, it became apparent this magnet was weak. I have magnets that are less than an inch on each side that are far, far, far stronger than this magnet. My young daughter can safely play with this, pull it off any high-ferrous steel surface, and not get pinched or hurt. I have other 5-10 dollar magnets that she can't pull off or that can pinch her. But this magnet (advertised as 2000 pounds, 360 degrees) is so weak it's completely child-safe in terms of pinching risk. There's just no strength. For example, a 10 pound pull removes it from a typical non-stainless steel service panel. Not at all what I expected from something advertised as 2000 pounds. The description of this product is enticing, but the product you get isn't what's in the description. You get a weak magnet wrapped in a thin stainless case with a nice stainless eyebolt. I paid ~$65 on sale and that was at least $55 too much. The only thing of value is the stainless eyebolt. The $120+ regular price for this magnet is absolutely outlandish. That's over a 10x markup. In short, don't waste your time if you need a strong magnet. What you will get isn't at all what is described.
