Johnsonite resilient T-Moulding Transitions are manufactured from a homogeneous composition of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), high quality additives, and colorants. Johnsonite transitions are designed for interior applications only. 1.Johnsonite Snap-In Type Mouldings must be allowed to condition for 24 hours prior to installation. Coiled mouldings must be uncoiled and laid out flat during the conditioning period. 2.Install the vinyl track base with a Premium Contact Adhesive. 3.Care must be taken when handling and installing snap-in mouldings to eliminate the possibility of stretching the material, which will result in gaps after installation. 4.Measure the length required for the application. Transfer the measurement to the snap-in moulding, but add an additional 1/4" (6.35 mm) to the measurement.5.When adjoining carpet, trim and glue the carpet to the track base mounting leg. 6.Position the snap-in moulding over the track base. Install approximately 1 ft. (.3 m) of the snap-in moulding into each end of the track base using a rubber mallet. 7.Continue installing the snap-in moulding into the track. Install 2 to 3 feet at a time, alternating from end to end, slightly angling the mallet head back towards the starting point. 8.When installing mitered corners, apply contact adhesive to the barbed insert of the snap-in moulding and the channel of the track base. Apply adhesive for 2-3 inches in both directions of the mitered corner. Install as previously discussed.
