I can see out but they can't see in! Great door viewer. Easy to install.
This door viewer has crystal clear clarity and is a safety must.I tested this and I can't see anything when looking in from the outside. There is no reason to buy a more expensive door viewer with a privacy plate on the inside. That's just on extra step of sliding the privacy plate open to see who is outside. This works perfect.I installed this myself in about 10 minutes on a steel door. This didn't come with instructions but it was a simple DIY and I will explain how I installed it below on my steel front door:1) I found a height that worked well for both my wife and I and marked the center of the door with a pencil2) I used a "center punch" to put a small dent in the door where my pencil mark was. (This keeps the drill bit from walking away from your mark while you are drilling). Possibly a big nail could make a small dent on your mark if you hit it lightly and would serve the same purpose.3) I drilled a hole starting from the inside of my house with the drill on the small dent I made making sure to hold the drill straight. I drilled through the inside of the door plate, though the insulation inside the door and until I had a small hole started through the outside plate of the door.4) I then went outside and used the small hole to complete the hole from the outside in (I made sure the hole was clear of insulation).5) The door viewer is two pieces so I unscrewed them to separate them6) I then put a small amount of all weather silicon caulking around the back of the lens lip on the piece that goes on the outside of the door (to seal out any moisture)7) I pushed the piece of the door viewer that goes on the outside of the door through the hole I drilled.8) I then screwed the hollow cylinder piece of the door viewer onto the outside piece through the hole on the inside. (First by hand and then followed up with a butter knife on the two grooves to tighten because I didn't have a screw driver with a wide enough flat head.)If you are looking at the pictures the inside of my door is white and outside is red.Note: I bought and used a "9/16-Inch or 14mm 9A Bi-Metal Speed Slot Arbored Hole Saw" Drill Bit specifically for this task. This drill bit worked great and cut a perfect clean hole. I was afraid a normal 9/16th bit may tear the steel plate on the door or create burrs.Hope this helps. Great door viewer I would highly recommend.

Good product
This was a very quick install, about 5 minutes, AFTER I obtained the 9/16 inch drill bit that is needed. This not a usual size drill bit included in most sets.It would be most helpful if, within the description of the product, the need for a 9/16 inch drill were mentioned. This would make a good product a great and easy installation.

Wider viewing range!
Easy I stallation

Better than the one I had.
It does what it's supposed to do - allow me to see what's on the other side of the door. Image is not as clear as I'd like, but it's better than what I had.

Easy to install
A little nervous about drilling through my wooden door.Used1/2 inch drill bit. It was not quite large enough but IWallowed it out very easily. Might be better to use 9/16 bitOn metal door.Screwed pieces together and it works great!10 minute job….. would recommend this product.

Very Good Price for Two
These viewers are of good quality. Similar ones in my neck of the woods go for almost twice as much.

What a great little peep-hole
What a great little peep-hole! Simple install, very wide angle. My front step is very low and I accidently installed this a little high on my door. I was nervous I wouldnt be able to see a person's face or torso like I couldn't when the hole was drilled without the peep hole. After installing, I could even see the bottom of the first step!I didnt have a drill bit big enough so I had to get creative with a smaller bit, slowly boring out the hole larger. The peep hole installation was a simple 2-piece that screws into each other through the hole from each side of the door. The device overhangs a bit from the hole so it covered up my unprofessional boring job.5/5 good product, worth the price

Clear view was most important
Totally blurred viewing. If sun is shining on eyepiece there is a total block of view.
