Great filter for the price!

The product was just as described.

I have a 75 gallon tank. I bought the 50-150 gallon pump. This thing is incredibly strong. The price is actually super cheap for what it is. If you want flow you will get it. My issues with it are that you cannot really direct the current. It only comes out of there straight. I guess you can get adapters to allow that but you have to move the whole pump to get a different flow. Would be nice if it was adjustable. My second issue is that it does filter a little bit but has little to no room on it to collect dirt. So I would not use this as "the main filter". Would be a nice back up filter or pump to get water flow. It is much too strong for a 75 gallon planted tank even at a low setting. My last issue with it is that I could use this in my pond. It would be awesome in there BUT the cord is way too short. If it had a 6 foot cord then I could use it but the cord is only about 3 feet long. I am returning it but I wanted to write a review and say that it has a lot of potential. Would be great for a bigger tank or a tank without plants if you want an insane amount of current. I would say that the flow rate they suggested is definitely accurate. Or under estimated. It pushes one heck of a lot of water. Would be good for a fountain as well. It can easily push water vertically if you wanted it to.

I bought this because my old sponge filter kept conking out and the sponges, due to the dense filter media, were hard to clean. This device has two sets of filters that are loose but capture a load of gunk. I squeeze them out in some water and the gunk comes right out. I clean my tank twice per week and so I've cleaned these sponges many times and they're holding up very well.

Did anyone else have there filter quit working after only 4 months? I hoping for a refund.I have been issued a full refund. Good customer service.

Water is strong . Just not sure if it works . I stop letting my turtles eat I. The aquarium to keep it cleaner longer . I only fed them twice in it and the water is a little dirty. It shouldn’t look like that with such a strong filter . Imma give it time and see what happens . So far kinda disappointed. I fix the stars after a week or so if I see it clear up.UPDATE:I had to update. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This is trash. I bought this for my turtles. It just throws water around. I gave this a long time to filtrate. Nothing. I cleaned the filters. They just get dirty. That’s it. I change a certain percentage of water weekly. Nothing. In a days it’s brown. As I stated I don’t even feed them in the same tank. The water flow is strong that’s it. If that’s what u need it for great. If u need a real filter DO NOT BUY.

The media could not be loaded.  The Cherlam Submersible Aquarium Filter works perfect the way it was design. It filter out waste particles out the water and keep your tank looking clean. What I like most about the filter is that it can be used to pump the water out of the tank when it’s time for a water change. It’s easy to use and convenient. The only negative about this product is that although it’s quiet when operating it also makes noise due to the connecting tube that takes in oxygen. You will hear like a splashing or bubble water sound but it’s not loud. The filter does have a button to control the flow of water being filter out but it makes no difference. Overall it’s a good product.Update: My initial review of this product is still true today, however after a few months of using this filter it stop working. I was disappointed with it because I thought It would have lasted a lot longer. I would not buy this again rather I would buy a differ product.

Does an excellent job. Should have brought another for my other tank
