It Will Take Some Practice and Patience, but for Permanent Hair Removal Its Worth It.
This product came with everything but the 9 volt battery. The instruction pamphlet was descriptive, short and straight to the point. Its safe to operate because you are in control of the dial. It ranges from 1 to 10. I started off on a one and was able to work my way up to three within a couple of hairs.*Just make sure your not using it while soaking your feet, in the tub, or any other place where theres a basin of water. The set up is simple. Ive listed a few tips and things to look out for.To get started make sure your area is clear and your environment is free of distractions. You will need to focus on being precise for this.If you have some alcohol go ahead and wipe your pen, stylet, and tweezers down.Next youll want to put in your battery and prepare your salt water.I decided to wash my hands and face and pat dry with a clean paper towel. But you can get started as long as your hands are clean and your tools are sterile. The first thing you’ll want to look for is a beeping sound. I didnt see a whole lot of descriptions addressing this. It means that the pen is delivering an electrical current. The trick is to make sure that you feel a “tingling” or a “pulsing” sensation. This lets you know youre directing the current towards the follicle. This device works by zapping the follicles blood supply to prevent regrowth. When Done Correctly, Hair Removal IS PERMANENT!Lastly, you want to make sure to feel a tingling sensation and not stinging. If the skin is turning dark around the hair but no fluid is released from pore, you may be burning your skin. If this happens just remove your stylet (micro needle) from your skin and reinsert in a different position until you feel that tingling/pulsing sensation.Remember to be gentle, not only for your skin but also for your stylet, the needle is very small and delicate. You may bend or break it without great care.In the event it feels uncomfortable, its okay, just turn down the dial until you can handle it.If you dont get it within a couple of tries just be patient with yourself. You’ve probably had that hair for a long time, giving yourself a couple of days to find your groove is perfectly fine. You’ve already taken the first step by doing something about it.Becoming impatient with this device will cause you to burn your skin. If youre not trying to draw more attention to the area, its best to give yourself a little more time.Just make sure when youre done to do some after care with some non-comedogenic products. After your sessions you can apply a light moisturizer, but avoid the area you treated if there are exposed pores. If you must to go out, apply sunscreen!!This product delivers permanent results, and is an excellent trade for such a small price. If you are tired of waxing, picking, and plucking, then this is the device for you!

Waste of money
I have tried a couple new sets of batteries. Will not power on. Read the manual followed the instructions and it just does not work. Wont even do the “buzzing” when you touch the plate on the device with itself as instructed. Waste of money.

Issue with stylets provided!
I have minimal hair growth on my upper lip. I do not need professional electrolysis. This product addresses my concern at a reasonable cost. My only issue is the two stylets provided. They were both bent when I opened the package. Problem got worse when I did a single treatment. Tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to straighten the wire with tweezers as instructed in the Instruction Booklet. I'm requesting that additional stylets be provided to me at no additional cost. Otherwise the product is unusable.

It works.
It does work. Which was almost a surprise to me, as it is the only option for at home electrolysis and under $40. The other options are machines that are spa/professional and cost thousands. So huge gap in price.Yes, it hurts but I had professional electrolysis on my legs when in my late teens so expected it and for me is worth what I know the payoff to be - you will never see that hair again. So, regular bi-weekly/monthly pain at let’s say 3-4 for waxing/epilator/laser vs one time pain at 7 and never again. Also, electrolysis IS the only fda approved method for permanent hair removal for all hair/skin types and combos, which laser is Not. Electrolysis doesn’t care what’s the color of your skin and hair, it simply kills the root. You can get regrowth only if the root is not sufficiently damaged so do it right/long enough the first time to avoid having to do it again. All other hair is not regrowth, it’s just different hairs that grow in different cycles so you will have to do those when they come up. Read up on hair biology and cycles, know what to expect.Must follow instructions, regularly dampen your fingers and endure the pain long enough to kill the root. I put a shallow bowl of water and salt near, dip my fingers and then briefly touch on a paper towel. A BRIGHTLY LIGHTED magnifying glass or mirror (depending on if you are doing body or face) is a must. You need to see what you are doing. Insertion of the tip doesn’t hurt, it’s way thinner than a needle; the electric current that activates automatically when inserted hurts. My pain tolerance is relatively high so I personally prefer higher intensity on the dial for shorter time, so for me most hairs will be ‘cooked’ in 5-10 seconds vs the lower intensity for 15+ seconds. Still, each hair is different and some have stronger roots than others and can take longer. The hair root is ‘cooked’ only when you can easily slide out the hair. Not pull, pluck, etc., just slide out gently without resistance. Their tweezers suck btw, use your own.To note: during operation, there is a tiny bead of milky liquid that can form at the insertion point. That’s perfectly normal, gently wipe it off the tip before doing the next hair.Cons: the loud buzzer sound it makes, I wish I could turn it off.Improvements would be: buzzer off option, button activation vs automatic, better cable management and better materials and case overall, shorter ‘pen’ (sometimes you need to get closer to see and the pen is in the way), plug in option (as is, it uses 1 9V battery which is Not included). I would gladly pay double for a product with those features.Still, 5 stars because it does work and the only alternatives are in the thousands of dollars.Wouldn’t recommend for those that want to do areas that are difficult to get close to either with a mirror or magnifying glass - you need to see clearly where you are inserting the tip to be effective.

It completely stopped working after three days.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I started using it as soon as I got it. Read the instructions very carefully and followed them to the letter. It was working beautifully! I was so excited. Then it just stopped working after THREE days. I changed the battery, cleaned it, but nothing. If the manufacturer can keep it running it would be an amazing product. But alas it stopped working and is now just a piece of junk.
