Girls in Resin Paperback – March 1, 2012

This is a good book, and covers a general history of the girl model figures genre. When these figures first starting hitting the public markets in resin, Joe was there fanning the flames from the beginning. Each figure gets attention in this book, along with the (real) models he used for poses, as well as full color images. The book is worth every penny. Especially since most of these kits were produced in very limited quantities, and this book may be the only time you ever see any information about them.If you like figure models, you will want this book, just for the history of the models and reference. It does NOT tell you how to build them or paint them, it's not that kind of a book. But viewing the many pictures in the pages I believe will still help you with ideas and paint colors / tones to apply to a project you may have.There are images of the preproduction Moebius Black Widow figure in this book, and that leads me to believe it is for the most part up to date, at least up to 2012.

my husband is learning how to use resins to build miniature figurines. This book is very detailed. It's a great tutorial.

Absolutely useless if you wanna learn how to make those figures. It didn't say how to make them. Just a bunch of pictures of what she made. I have returned the book.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough, the high quality images show each model at it's best. I have built many of Mr Laudati's kits over the years, so it is interesting to read the story behind some of them, it gives the models an extra dimension. It has inspired me to start building the other girl kits I have in the stash.If you have any interest at all in girl kits, then this book is definitely worth buying, you won't regret it.

A great collection of figure sculptures , by a very talented guy.This book was better than I was expecting.Any fan of garage kits or amazing figure mag , will like this.

Si lo que buscas es disfrutar del trabajo de modelado de uno de los mejores escultores de figuras a escala, este es tu libro. La mayoría de las figuras se muestran tanto en bruto, como pintadas por conocidos modelistas y para mejor aprecio del trabajo de escultura se incluyen también fotografías de la actriz o modelo en el que la fura se inspiró.No es lo que yo estaba buscando, puesto que esperaba encontrar un libro en el que el maestro mostrase sus habilidades a la hora de esculpir de una manera instructiva para el lector, y lamentablemente para mi no ha cumplido mis expectativas. Dado que la mayoría de libros de esta temática si están orientados al aprendizaje de técnicas de pintura o modelado de figuras, quizá el título debería especificar de algún modo lo que vamos a encontrar en sus páginas de manera algo mas explicita, y de ahí mi renuencia a otorgarle una mejor calificación.
