Body cream for anyone with skin condition
My 8 year old granddaughter has a skin condition that causes red, sore, itchy patches on her skin. She has used Pestle and Mortar body wash and it soothed her skin so I ordered this moisturiser to try as I thought it would be a much nicer way to moisturise her skin rather than using oilatum. This moisturiser contains --Avocado soothes inflammation-squalane is derived from olives and is highly moisturising-Shea butter which is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and is hydrating for the skinl-Gotu Kola leaf extract helps to heal scars and calms inflammation-niacinamide reduces rosacea and heals affected skin-vitamin E is a powerful anti-inflammatory. It also has moisturising and healing benefits, and calms and soothes the skin while strengthening the natural skin barrier.BENEFITS-99% natural formulation-free from mineral oil-fragrance-free.-Dermatologically tested-midwife approved-paediatrician approvedA little cream goes a long way. Found it was thicker than normal lotions but wasn’t hard to rub in like sudocrem. There’s a very faint fragrance which is pleasant. We tried using this on half of her arm to see if she would have a reaction, she didn’t. Her skin felt soft and moisturised. She now uses this daily and her skin is in good condition. At the time of using she only had one sore area on her skin but this has quickly gone away.I will continue to buy Pestle and Mortar products for her as they suit her skin and so far have kept her sore skin condition at bay.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Yuck!
The only impressive thing about this lotion is the bottle! No matter how little you apply it takes ages to absorb into skin, it’s like an emollient leaves skin white until it eventually goes, not great when you are in a hurry as you can’t get dressed! What little I did try didn’t do anything for my Psoriasis prone skin. Expensive mistake!

Agrees with my skin. Maybe a little pricey?
My skin is on the edge of sensitive - I have dyshidrotic eczema which mainly affects my hands and feet, but it can mean that sometimes the rest of my body is sensitive too. I’ve been using the Pestle and Mortar sensitive hand soap so wanted to give this a try too.The pump is generous, and I find one pump covers about ¾ of my leg which is good coverage! It’s not super thick, however it does take a little time to skin in. It will leave white streaks at first, so I move on to another area before coming back and giving it a second, quicker rub in. This seems to do the trick. If you’re always in a rush, this may not be so great for you. There isn’t any scent which I like, so there’s less to potentially cause sensitivity. So far I haven’t had any reactions which is a plus! The price is about double what I’m used to paying for other eczema friendly brands, even for 500ml. That said, I do find this moisturiser goes further than said other brands, I would still consider it a bit more of an investment.

Luxurious feeling body cream
Pestle and Mortar is a UK brand, founded by a mother of five children who wanted to create skincare solutions to remedy dull and dehydrated skin. The products are rooted in the Indian philosophies of natural healing. They are formulated to be suitable for all skin types. Their products are free from mineral oil, SLS and artificial fragrances and are 99% natural. They are dermatologically tested, midwife approved, and paediatrician approved. The products are vegan, cruelty free and approved by PETA. The products have also been recommended in a range of higher end publications. This particular product is the Pestle and Mortar body cream. It is a 500ml bottle which currently costs around £15.00. The design is something that has clearly been thought about. The minimalistic and clean looking label design is in simple black and white. The clear plastic bottle is recyclable.Into the bottle and the body cream has a good thickness and feels like a high quality product. It has a very subtle aroma to it, but nothing too overpowering. It leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh. The cream is formulated with with avocado, squalane, shea butter, and Gotu Kola leaf extract, so this should be really good for the skin. Squalane comes from olives and is a highly penetrative cosmetic ingredient that softens and soothes the skin. There is no irritation or itching after use, so this will be great for sensitive skin. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling dry after use. Rather, my skin felt smooth and well moisturised. If you found this review useful, informative and / or enjoyable to read, please give that ‘helpful’ button a click.

Good quality body moisturizer
This is a good sized (500ml) pump bottle of moisturizer which is price at £22.00 at the time of writing, this seems quite expensive, but after trying it my wife says that it is actually very good value for money because it is very effective. The packaging is very professional and would look good on any shop shelf and is generally very easy to recycle. We did run into a bit of a problem when we looked at the list of ingredients, because there were some items on there that we had never heard of, but apparently it is 99% natural and is free from mineral oils. It is also fragrance free for those who have very sensitive skin. It does contain vitamin E, which is good for skin health, but its use in a cream isn't really any help as it won't reach the deeper layers of the skin, it would be better taken as a supplement. In use a little goes a long way and so it is quite economical, it seems to work better after a bath or shower. After using it for a few days my wife definitely found that her skin feels softer and more hydrated.
