I received this stitching pony as a gift and I use as much as I can. It is very handy to help hold the leather while stitching pieces together. So far, I have used this to hold the leather I am stitching a longer straight line of stitches on. This can hold the leather firm, without damaging or making the leather. If you have a higher end piece of leather or some leather that marks easily, you may want to 'pad' the clamp with some scrap leather or softer material.I am able to attach this to the edge of my workspace with no issues and once it is tightened down, it does not move. This helps to ensure my stitching is more uniform and consistent. Overall, I am very pleased with this.

This is a great and the most inexpensive stitching pony I've come across. I was originally looking at a small portable stitching pony from another popular Korean brand, but I felt it was just too expensive for me at the moment. Found this one on Amazon, and it works great for what I need it for. Adjustment knobs work great, everything was sanded to a nice smooth finish (no rough edges). You'll still want to glue on pieces of leather to the tips to keep marks off of the leather you plan to stitch, but I look forward to that because I can put my maker's stamp on it for custom personalization. This pony even came with sanding sheets, so that was a nice bonus I wasn't expecting. Super great value and overall very happy!

This is a very handy size and design for my needs, and it's decent quality for the price. I am going to be placing a couple of screws in one joint for strength, and reversing the position of the threaded insert for the table clamp, as it's on the wrong side for proper clamping. That, along with a bit of leather for the jaws will have it up and running. A lot less work and time than building one from scratch!I appreciate being able to fold it up to save space when not in use. It's not pro quality, but for a hobbyist that only needs it occasionally, it's more than enough.If it weren't for the need for the modification, I would rate it 5 stars.

It is not just cheaply made, it's poorly designed.See the video.No soft Jaws.The desk clamp has the threaded insert installed on the wrong side of the wooden clamp so it gets pushed out when you apply tension.The wooden desk clamp is too shallow. Barely grips the desk. Won't work unless your desk is perfectly square at the edge.The working clamp is coming apart. Only barely glued and held with brad nails.Pivot points and desk clamp continually work themselves loose.You can't get any part of this actually tight it's constantly working loose.This thing is utter trash, don't waste your money.

This is a lot smaller than I thought but I’m working out of an apartment so it’s perfect for smaller projects and if you did wanna take your stuff with you this one is perfect for that it folds up nice and small. If you are limited on space or not set to a permanent work area I would say buy it or if your just getting started and wanna test the waters before going big get it

I really like everything about this except the screw stripped after a little less than a year and now it won't hold any leather. I'll probably buy another one but eventually should invest in a high quality one so I don't have to spend $30/yr on a new stitching pony. I would still recommend this if you're getting started and need something
