If you find yourself financially buggered and need to pinch every penny... sell your kidny and buy a better welder.
Day 1 test shows it to be a good welder, not a great one. A MIG ready welder for under 300 is just about unheard of, though I would have preferred it if they put more money into the welder and ditched the extras like the mask, hammer-brush and wire as most of which is going in the trash.The wire feed mechanism is functional though it does not look particularly durable. It does provide a reasonably stable arc with the right settings, dont forget to set the polarity appropriately for gas or flux core welding, its not all Knobs and dials young Padawan. If you can spend a bit more, there are better options. I have not yet used this welder with shielding gas I will update accordingly when I have. I know 9 hours with welder in hand I'm really slacking.Update 10/29/17: Docked it a star. The welder developed some feed problems, the feed liner started slipping out of the clamp, fished it back twice before coming up with a more permanent fix, machined a brass support to slip over the first inch of the liner and modified the clamp to fit.

One handy dandy little welder!
This is one handy dandy little welder. I ran it on full amperage several times using a 50 foot extension cord with no problem!I hadn't done any welding in many years and had no problem getting the job done with .35 wire. So what if it has to cool, I needed a break anyway.Easy to set up and feed the wire through and the controls are responsive. The only thing and can say that would be helpful is to provide more .35 tips. There were three .23 and only one .35. The welder also came with handheld shield that is unusable because cannot attach the handle.It did not take long to cool down after heating and you can get quite a bit done before the light comes on and it stops. Just one good little welder!

I feel like there should be some kind of a partial refund ...
I feel like there should be some kind of a partial refund not the whole price but because product bought was damaged and it's suppose to be a gift for Christmas. Will never recommend or buy this product again
