Great and affordable CPU
Bought this for my dad’s new budget PC since I do really like AMD process over intel. It’s my old PC and it’s an upgrade from a Ryzen 7 1700x as it’s a tad finicky now. It’s got plenty of processing power and the benchmark was very solid. The only issue was that I was putting it into a B350 chipset MoBo and while it stated that it was compatible, I forgot to update the bios and it would not post. This is more user error than anything.Eventually we got the bios to update after a few failed art attempts and now it works flawlessly.AM4 processors are always annoying to install, but I’ve done enough of them to know how to set the chip into the board with no issues. The thing runs games very well and the air cooler keeps it below 50°C on average when gaming. The fan is a tad noisy but it’s not too bad.Definitely a great budget CPU.

Great CPU
Great CPU for gaming,One of the best budget friendly CPU on the market! It was easy to install with the AM4 and the cooler worked flawlessly. Would recommend.

Used it in my first build
Great for an intro to pc building. I paired mine with an amd graphics card and with 1080p gaming I get great fps and man this is a beast when it comes to multitasking. It's really quiet and it's amazing when it comes to getting my work done I love it great choice for my first build.

AMD = A Mighty Damn good processor.
this thing is pretty badass, I have reached 4.2ghz stable, (aio liquid cooler). if you are on a budget this thing wont miss. (You may consider spending $20 to get the next one up, but wasn't needed in my use case.)

opinion on this budget friendly cpu
This cpu works great for gaming and you can save money. Especially when it’s on sale for a good price.Although it does lack in some cases like CPU heavy games.Like Fortnite if you have this budget cpu and paired it with an Rtx 4060 for a budget build Fortnite will have some frame dips.Because of the Gpu being too powerful for the cpu. But in Gpu heavy games it works great.Temperatures on the cpu are consistent never going to high. But do be warned that games like Fortnite will not be playable on any other graphic settings besides performance mode.Trying to launch the game max or on lowest settings of direct 12 will cause major dips in frames. Even with a good pc. I believe it has to just be the cpu not being strong enough. I think that other variables that affect the cpu would be background software like discord and if you use msi afterburner then the fps counter could cause frame issues.Ram is a factor and storage type.So if your buying this cpu for gaming specifically Fortnite run the game on performance and keep the resolution to 80% to 100% then your fine if you want frames. But don’t let my review scare you go with what you believe is best. In my case this cpu was definitely worth the price. And been using it for a few months now with no problems.

Good option for price
I built my pc with this cpu and it’s been able to handle games like a breeze so far, it was also very easy to install and ive not had any heating issues

It does it's job.
For me CPUs like this, which are budget CPUs are mostly about the price. For $100 USD or less this is an excellent buy. If it's more than that, uhhhh. I'll take the 5600 for $130 Bob.While this is a Zen 3 CPU, it's not PCIe gen4 and you should be aware of this before buying. It's not the same line of CPU that most Zen 3 CPUs which are Vermeer. This is Cezanne. There are 3 Cezanne CPUs, the other two are OEM only, meaning they only come in a PC you buy from a company that makes PCs like Dell, etc........ For the most part this isn't a problem because it's a budget CPU, however if you pair this with something like an AMD Radeon 6500 XT which only uses 4 PCIe lanes to connect to the CPU, you'll get bad performance. So don't do that.Otherwise as long as you pair this with at least an 8 PCIe lane GPU it works fine. You take a tiny hit in GPU performance but not enough to worry about. The bigger hit comes with the NVMe drives, especially in 2023 and going forward. There are now MANY NVMe disks that are a lot faster than 4GB/s, and to give as simple explanation as I can, a PCIe lane is a serial data line. The way a PCIe device/bus works is by grouping a certain amount of lanes so that you get the speed of a single PCIe lane times the number of lanes you have. Any NVMe disk has 4 lanes. It also means the port you plug it into along with what it connects to (CPU, motherboard chipset) has 4 PCIe lanes that it will connect with. So, you get 4 PCIe lanes. So now you need to know the data speed for each lane. For PCIe gen3, the speed of each lane is 1GB/s. For PCIe gen4 the speed of each lane is 2GB/s. So, with this CPU, the best you can get is a data transfer rate of 4GB/s to an NVMe disk. That's it. The newest disks coming out the end of 2022, and 2023 can hit speeds near 9GB/s. Now, most data transfers to/from NVMe disks can't run at that speed. However many disks can run many data transfers faster than 4GB/s, so that means a CPU that runs PCIe gen3 is slowing down modern NVMe disks that can run gen4 or now gen5 speeds. But that's not a statement that has a clear meaning, because just because a disk is called gen4, it doesn't mean most of the data transfers to/from that disk will run at the full bandwidth of PCIe gen4 x4 lanes = 8GB/s. Most gen4 disks rarely hit that speed if ever. Only the most expensive ones do. BUT once again many will run different types of transfers above 4GB/s.So that's the description of what it means to have PCIe gen3 when dealing with modern NVMe disks. You're going to slow down some of the data transfers, not all, depending on how fast (which also means more expensive) the disk is.Yes for a general purpose PC build this is good enough and it's a low cost option that's really good at $100 USD or less. However if the price of this starts to get closer to the Ryzen 5600, I'd rather buy the 5600 because that's PCIe gen4 which is as good as it gets with an AMD AM4 motherboard.

Great price to performance
Great budget CPU as it’s always on sale, handles a lot of process and doesn’t get too hot under load with the included cooler. Overall nice W by AMD and this is why they are beating intel
