VERIZON G3100 so Far so Good
Excellent Service so Far no issues and Fast speeds and strong signal around the house. I UPDATE from G100 to G3100 no lagging, so far I am very happy with the new router. Works as should and plug and play with Fios. We have Gaming going on and a lot of streaming going on with the cell phones and T.V and no issues so far. I have a gigabit connection and works like a charm. I order from Amazon not Verizon. Better price here and was on sale . A+++

Lives up to its billing
We had bought this router to replace our previous router that was 6 years old and it has performed great for our FIOS subscription. Was very easy to install and had it up and running in about 10 minutes or so. We really like its range. Our previous router was good barely to the front porch and had little service out the back of the house. We still have signal with this router up to 100+ feet from our home. It's also much faster. We used to have slow-downs frequently, especially on video connections; but video connections have had no blip at all since we got this router. Highly recommend it.

Works fine but a far cry from "new"
The router works great and was easy to set up. I have better range and faster speed for sure. Wireless 118 down and 110 up, which is great since I technically only have 75/75 from FIOS and was only really seeing about half of that before. No complaints other than this is obviously a refurb. The box looked like it was new 10 years ago, there was no bag or anything protecting the router, just a plain router stuck in the old box, and the power supply may be new but it was also provided in a bag that looks like it had been around the block a few times. I think the only new component provided is the ethernet cable. In any case, don't expect a new product, but it does work as advertised. To be safe I did a factory reset as well as changing all the default passwords and IDs. Who knows where this thing has been.TLDR, worth the money compared to the $400 that Verizon wants for the same thing, but don't expect a new product even though that's how it's advertised. Amazon needs to enforce this better to ensure we're actually getting a new product and not something that's refurbished, especially if it's sent from their warehouse through Prime.

Expensive but reliable
This product was very expensive but saved me a little bit over buying directly from Verizon. At the time, it was the fastest router that was officially approved to work with Fios. I didn't want to take a chance with unapproved routers, so ended up buying this. I have no regrets. It is fast, provides a strong signal all around the house, and is very reliable. I have never had to reset the router due to internet or WiFi going out. Not sure if that is because of the router or because I switched to Fios (from cable internet), but I am very happy. One thing I don't like is I can't tell if this thing updates its own firmware automatically or not. I can't find any update settings in the online interface.

Good router but if you're experiencing random wifi connection drops, have Verizon check your ONT
Upgraded to the G3100 from a very old Fios Actiontec router. The old router was having trouble maintaining connections for 4 -5 active users (parents on work/video calls + kids doing remote learning). Replaced the router and saw significant improvement in speed test and stability with wifi connections. Even with our basic 75/75 service, we were getting nearly full speeds for upload/download (previously we weren't getting full speeds). Was very happy with that. Our house is decently sized too about 5000 sqft with the router on the top floor. The first 2 weeks were great. We saw very stable connections to laptops, TVs, mobile devices--even the TV in the basement where I previously needed an extender was able to support streaming in 4k over wifi. After 2 weeks, we started seeing unexpected drops. We were bummed!! Did an exhaustive search through the advanced router logs to identify the problem, but unfortunately the logs were not helpful. Our devices were connecting to the G3100, but the G3100 was not connecting to the internet (showing yellow circle on front of the device). So either it was a HW issue with the 3100 or something upstream on the Verizon side. Called Verizon and they discovered power fluctuations in the ONT (upstream from the G3100). They dispatched a tech to replace it. The tech Mike came and swapped ours out (apparently we had an old ONT) in about an hour. No cost to me to replace the ONT since it was on the Verizon side. Since then everything has been fantastic!Thought I would share our experience in case others out there are having similar issues. Good luck and happy streaming!
