Used them for years and they are very good socks.

Nice socks, but they are very tight on the top and bottom of the arch and the band to hold them up will leave temporary marks even if you don't have large legs.

bought another pair of socks and they fell apart. I had previously bought these at a famous foot ware and really liked them. Had to go do some digging to figure out what brand famous footware carried since they weren't marked. I like buying all 1 type of black sock and then you never need to worry about mismatching socks.

Really only about a 6.5-7.

My husband is an ultra runner (50 to 100 miles or more) and these work for him very well. They have just the right amount of cushioning, without being too thick. I bought six a few months ago and this time bought twelve since he liked them so much. The only criticism I would have is that they have threads that catch on to burrs, twigs etc. Not enough to bother my husband though.
